Lonely Planet Panama: Perfect for exploring top sights and taking roads less travelled (Travel Guide)

Just bought this (Dec. 2023 edition) as we're going there in March. Also checked out last year's (2022 edition) from local library. Unfortunately, in this latest edition they have cut about a fifth of it, and there is also less text and more pics so that it is just less informative. What were they thinking? The Bocas del Toro section does not even mention some things that are in the 2022 edition (that mattered to our choices where we are actually staying is no longer mentioned). I would actually recommended buying the June 2022 edition which is still available here on Amazon.

Good general advice but needs more specific recommendations as far as activities, hotels, restaurants

I have been buying LP guides all my life, for each and every travel I do. Unfortunately I really dislike this new format. Much more shallow information than in the past. I will return, but a copy of the old edition and change brand in the future, unfortunately.
