The Original ecoYoga Mat - Travel - Grey/Travel

I bought this last year for my trip to Asia. I absolutely love it and cannot recommend it enough!Positives:-EVERYTHING!-Grip is the best of all mats I have tried (and I've tried so many kinds of mats). It can handle very sweaty hands, I rarely (almost never) have found my hands slipped on this, unlike every other mat I have tried! This is the best for friction!-Nice texture, I was worried it would feel dry, but it doesn't at all!-Green colour was nice-Great for travel! I took it around Asia for 2 months on my backpack, and it was perfect! It's slim, so rolls up nice and tight, not bulky at all. (I just looked at it now, it is rolled up loosely, the rolled up width is smaller than my credit cards longest side). I was able to take it on flights alongside my hand luggage with no problem whatsoever.-It wasn't the lightest option when looking at all of the travel mats but this was not something I even noticed when carrying it. It was easy to carry around either on my backpack or alone, I didn't really notice the weight. I would definitely recommend it, if you're debating between this one and a lighter one and weight is the deciding factor, get this one, as the weight isn't noticeable.-Quality is great, great value for money. (It costs a little more than some travel mats, but is so worth it)-Most eco-friendly mat I found after months of research-I use this as my daily yoga mat now because I love it so much! (I use it on carpet, I am looking at getting the 6mm for harder floors)-It is thin, but this is because it's 2mm. If you're looking for a travel mat they will all be thin. This has a nice textured bottom so is pretty good on that front. Like I said I use it daily on carpet and it's perfect. But if I was to use it as my daily mat on hard floor I would probably go for the 6mm option. But never-the-less, this is a great mat, even on hard floors whilst travelling!Negatives:-When I first got it, there was a scent to it, (not a bad smell though) but like any new yoga mat it will have a scent of what the mat is made from, and now the smell is barely present, which I guess isn't really a negative. (Also, my friend bought the colourfree 6mm one and said it had a really nice smell to it, so I'm not sure if they smell different or she loved the smell)-For the first few months, especially when cleaning it (the way recommended on their website), I would often get little bits of rubber flaking off. I realised this is natural to the mat. It was a bit annoying, and I was a bit worried my mat was disintegrating (it wasn't lol), and now and again I would find little bits that had come off the mat. But this also is not as present the longer I have had my mat.-After a year of almost daily use, it is looking a little well-loved, but what yoga mat that has been bashed around whilst travelling and used everyday wouldn't?! For me, this is actually a positive, it has lasted me a year! It has been resilient, and I can tell it still has years left in it!-Because it is thin, as all 2mm and travel mats do, it sometimes moves a little when using it. But the rubber does help it to grip. When I first got the mat I noticed this a lot more, so I'm not sure if it still does this, maybe it was a new mat thing going on with it, or maybe I just don't notice it.I really found it hard to find some negatives, because this mat was just perfect for my travels. Any negative to do with the thickness will happen with any 2mm/Travel mats.Like I said, I cannot recommend this mat enough!! I absolutely adore it! I am actually going to buy another one, this time a 6mm one (the travel aspect isn't so important) so that I can take it to my Yoga and Movement classes.

A really nice quality mat, if a bit on the thin side. (4mm rather than 6mm - makes a big difference). Love the fact that it's sustainably sourced by a UK company and would like to support them more... but a tiny bit of extra padding's definitely needed please Ecoyoga! Great eco friendly mat. Love colour and texture. Good grip - no slip during yoga practice. Would ideally be slightly thicker.

Had to return as was still a slippy mat I hit yoga and also developed 2 big yellow marks on the mat randomly which I think would be the material

Just what I was looking for - fantastic grip and it's very light too.
