Old school fixings for trailing plants
Yes very good items but would recommend drilling pilot holes in mortar first

Ideal vine eyes for an old Victorian wall
These 100mm vine eyes are spot on for an old crumbly wall - the 75mm would simply not hold. Of course you normally have to drill a suitable hole to make them work effectively. Maybe the other negative review simply forgot to do that! And you keen gardeners don't forget that stainless steel wires are MUCH the best for providing trouble free support.

Tendency to bend if your not careful
Used with wire support/plant support. Product has a tendency to bend easily if there is no 'Give' (ie harder part of more or possible reinformnent in brick. Suggest ensuring you have as much knowledge of wall/brick if your going to buy and use this product.Otherwise and OK purchase.

You still have to use a mason drill
Not just a hammer in product, you do still have to drill the hole to get started, but can then be hammered firmly home and look very smart and do job
