I have been pleased with this screw extractor kit so far. The item came simply packaged and feels built to last.I had some screws on my outdoor porch light that had rusted and I was unable to remove to replace the bulb. Thankfully this did the job and has ensured I didn't have to pay out to buy a brand new porch light.My only annoyance about this product is the case the screw extractors came in. There are 5 extractors but the case provided is only built for 4 which differs from the case shown in the amazon page.Despite this I am pleased with the product. Time will tell how good these screw extractors, but for the time being I am pleased with this purchase.

Tried to remove some non-stainless steel bolts, failed miserably.Took ages to even begin to bore into the bolt head and the 'extractor head' stripped after a few minutes of use!This will probably work on cheap/ soft nails, screws, bolts etc but absolutely useless on 'good' bolts.

This item is one of those things that you look at more than once and think "They would be handy". I certainly have, but somehow I never got around to buying them. I had cause to regret that in the past week, when trying to replace the door seal on our washing machine.Of all the screws holding the front panel on, the one screw that was awkward to get at got chewed up by the screwdriver. With it being at the bottom of the panel, where the drain filter is, it had rusted in solid. It is quite an old machine. I couldn't get at it properly to cut a slot in it. In desperation, I ordered this set of extractors on the Friday and hoped that they wouldn't take too long to arriveThankfully, Amazon worked wonders and delivered on Sunday. This kit took care of that screw in minutes and saved me a lot of agro from she who must be kept happy. I followed the instructions and took my time and was amazed how well the extractor end bit into the screw. By late Sunday evening, the machine was back together and working.Sizes 1 - 4 supplied as well as a second No. 2, all in a handy case. Easy to use and literally a life saver. It's not something that will be in constant use, but for the price, It's well worth having in your toolbox. If a screw is going to go, it'll do it at the most inconvenient time. I would heartily recommend this set.

Used theee times and failed to work on all occasions - In both instances I had to drill out the full screw with a metal drill bit of the right diameter.

Manual not clear, took me a lot of goes to get this to work, the trick is to really drill a deep hole with the cleaner before you start to extract but not clear, the guide is very very poor! Hoeever once I worked it out the bit did its job like a charm

I've been looking to get some of these for ages now, I have had lots of screws to extract lately and a large percentage were either damaged or just simply impossible to get out...not any more, this really handy pack of screw extractors are going to be invaluable!They also fit nicely into your drill or cordless screwdriver (see pictures) which very useful!I have just tried them out actually, there was a screw that was proving to be a nightmare to get out and this gadget bit into the screw brilliantly and it was out in seconds, amazing! - they're all in a nice little handy case which fits in your toolbox easily, the quality seems to be excellent too so I'm more than happy with these beauties, very competitive price too!

Drill end would not cut into screws so used an HSS drill of the same size. Came to extract the screw with the other end with drill set on slow in reverse and the extractor head just stripped off and the screw is still firmly in place. Bit of a waste of money really. The speed of delivery was very good though.

Not used in anger yet but did a trial test and worked ok. Will post back when used properly.
