Bright, Accurate, with some flaws
Bought this for my office gym to replace our aging wall clock. It has good sized numbers that are bright and clear. As for power, it can be powered by batteries or plugged into the wall.Unfortunately, when powering with batteries the clock does not give an option to stay on all the time. I know this is to extend the battery life, however in our situation, we would prefer changing batteries to having to voice activate the clock during a workout, just to see the time. The clock should give an option to voice activate or leave the clock on all the time. If you use the plug, it will stay on all the time, however we do not have a good place to plug it in and set it up, so this clock will not work for us.Another issue with the clock is that the voice activation is weak. By that I mean you have to basically yell at the clock to get it to come back on.The clock does come with two alarms and is pretty intuitive to setup. It also has three light modes, but I didn't see much difference in the three options. If you plan to plug this clock into the wall, this could be a good option for you, but for our purposes, it is not the best choice.

Great Clock - Warning: Installation Pins are Dangerous
First the clock, then about the pins. I ordered this clock to use in my podcast studio. We need to be able to see the time and this clock is the right size. It's big and red and perfect for that. Setting it is easy enough though not entirely intuitive. I had the instructions. I could figure it out without the instructions but it would take figuring and isn't overtly obvious. It has an alarm I don't use and it tells the days of the week. It can switch between 12 and 24 hour time. It comes with a handy paper template and some special pins to stick into the wall to hang it on which is all super easy.THE PINS: We are used to a certain shape pushpin in America. The metal pointy bit goes in the wall and the plastic bit is where you push. These pins are not like that! These are not pins. These are actually special tiny nails. You put the plastic against the wall with the silver pokey bit toward you. Then you hammer the silver bit in and you have a perfect shape for hanging things like this clock. I did this the waymost Americans would do it because of the shapes of our pins and put the metal pokey against the wall and shoved on the plastic with my thumb as hard as I could. The metal popped through and deep into my thumb. That sucked. I figured it out after that. I just know I'm not going to be the only person to do this. It's a great clock but just be careful with the pins that are not pins.

Sleek Highly Readable Digital Clock
I ordered this SZELAM Digital Wall Clock because of its LARGE, highly readable digital numbers, and because you can mount it on a wall.I also love that the case is very thin and minimalist, with no bulky periphery outside of the digital display area. The case is black, and measures 4.3 inches tall by 8.2 inches long with 2.7 inches tall clock numbers. It also has an alarm function, as well as the ability to receive voice prompts. There is a three-level brightness setting and this clock possesses the ability to go into a power-saver mode with nighttime reduced brightness.I like that this clock allows a person to choose from 2 display modes: one being a “time and day of week display”, or, the other being a “time and day of week, date, temperature cycle display”.You can choose whether to power this clock via three AAA batteries, or by way of a plug-in power cord. This is a great clock for the money, and I am very happy with it’s LARGE readout display that you can recognize at a glance!

competent digital wall clock that delivers
The media could not be loaded. This is a review for a promotional item I received at no cost to me.First Impression: This is a highly readable digital clock suitable as a table clock or a wall clock. It can be powered via USB, for which a cable and an AC adapter is provided, or by means of 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). If powered via a permanent USB connection, the time display is permanently on. If powered via batteries, the display remains dark until a moderate tap is applied on the front surface (the display surface where the time is shown). At that, the display will turn on and will remain on for a few seconds; it will then turns itself off again. This is to prevent draining the non-rechargeable batteries.Rechargeable? No. The clock does not have built-in rechargeable batteries. I only tried alkaline cells; in case this matters, even if using rechargeable AAA cells it is not possible to recharge them using the power from the clock's USB connection.Settings: there is no remote control. Adjusting the time of day, setting alarm time, and controlling brightness is a simple and intuitive operation using the buttons in the back of the clock. The buttons are responsive with a clearly perceptible detent feedback on activation. Brightness settings include three levels, and an automatic night-time dimmer. The dimmer activate by the time of day, as opposed to taking advantage of a light-sensitive trigger.Accuracy: over approximately 24 hours, timekeeping was accurate. I may edit this review with an additional comment if timekeeping should drift unacceptably.Overall: Awesome! Eventually a simple wall clock that does no more than what is necessary in a competent manner, with a modern, unobtrusive, functional look of universal appeal. It does not call attention to itself, does not have a remote control to lose next week, it's large enough to read easily from anywhere, but not too large. I *love* the on-when-tapped battery powered operation (no light at all in a bedroom, except if requested). Price is appropriate. This one was a promotional item--I'll probably buy another one or two.

Nice
Really happy with this. Have it hanging in the laundry room. It alternates from time, to date, to room temperature. Really pleased with its function and appearance. Would definitely be at home on a desk or in the kitchen also.
