I had never even heard of a book nook till I saw this. I bought it for my sister who is into her crafts. She’s also a big Sherlock Holmes fan, which is why I chose the detective Agency one. I definitely chose well as my sister is absolutely enamoured with it and has spent many hours putting it all together. She said the instructions were really easy to follow, especially seeing as there are hundreds of pieces to put together. I wouldn’t have the patience myself. But I must say now, it’s all together with the light on it does look impressive. Good quality and a great gift for anyone into crafts.

This is the first bookend ornament that I have ever done and I thoroughly enjoyed making it.The kit came in a well packaged box, with full instructions - which I found straightforward to follow. There is no glue included in the kit, which is needed. I used a print stick, which was strong enough to stick everything needed together. You will also require a pair of scissors to cut out the paper items to be folded and glued onto various items.The kit was well printed and came out of the wooden boards fairly easily, without breakages.There was a small emery board included to file off any rough edges left behind.If you enjoy intricate, fiddly creations then this will keep you occupied. If you hate fiddly, then this is probably not a great was to spend your time!I think it took around 20 hours for me to complete and it looks really good.I would recommend this for anyone interested in building one of these for the first time.

I was very excited when I started working on this. Unfortunately, one of the patterned cut off boards had been marked incorrecty. I was unable to return it as the return window time has passed but after contacting the seller a partial refund was issued to my account.
