This product was great. Worked for my project.

They are cheaply made. Crimp connections are not always secure. Internal components rotate and often fall out on installation. Connecting male to female is often difficult due to deformation during crimping.

Better than some generics but still not ideal for automotive use.The yellow casing is not the same as the blue and red, which means if you want to connect a 12 gauge wire to 14+ gauge wire you must use yellow on both ends.Before crimping the metal can easily slide out with little effort, not precision made. This is also a problem with crimps, the male ends when crimped will go flat against plastic wall, you will need a pocket knife to bend it back center.Connectors are not tight, if the plastic sheeting was not there it’s possible for the connectors to pull apart with little effort.They crimp very easily, they are using a thinner metal than traditional connector ends, be aware they may not necessarily be thick enough for the 12-10 gauge amperage.If for automotive use, I would follow these up with electrical tape to be sure vibrations and bumps do not pull these connections apart. In a household non vibration situation these connectors should be fine.I would recommend the Dorman brand connectors available on Amazon: (blue 10 pack 5 pairs: 85461; red 10 pack 5 pairs: 85460; yellow 10 pack 5 pairs: 86429), way more expensive than these but will work much more reliably for automotive use, stay connected, and will not change shape when crimped. Most important, you can inner connect the gauge sizes if necessary.
