Mars Chocolate Bars, 12-Count

Product came 2 weeks earlier than expected taste excellent.

Mars bars were excellent. Enjoy them immensely. Only negative is that since these come from England, there was some product melting and re hardening due to their long trip. Taste was not effected at all, just a bit messy peeling the wrapper from the candy bars. Still recommend this product.

Too expensive

What I did not like was the presentation of the bars themselves. They were mashed flat! What a mess. The flavor was not affected, but they have been almost impossible to get the paper off!

They arrived very quickly, and in good shape. None of the bars were squished or melted. We ordered them for a Christmas present and they are great! Not in a ‘fancy’/ branded box, so we plan to wrap in another box.

Up until a few years ago at my local super-market I could still obtain what to me is a "real" Mars bar- nougat, caramel and whole almonds covered in chocolate(both milk chocolate and dark chocolate varieties). I was unaware they existed in any other form, nor that they were around as far back as the fifties as other reviewers have posted. Had I scrolled a little further past the stellar reviews I would have realized these are not what I was expecting. I'm not here to debate UK chocolate vs. US chocolate. They are not bad- but certainly not the American version with nuts (pause here for snarky remarks while I roll my eyes) :P They also came packaged as 4 individually wrapped bars enclosed in an additional wrapper(the shipping box contained 3 of those), which I suppose is more or less accurate to the "12-pack" description. It doesn't say anywhere on the listing that they are "single" or "fun-size"(only that the shipping weight is 1.4 pounds), though I see way down in the Q & A section someone mentioned they are "mini". Each bar is 33.8g, which is close to half a full size candy bar. These are basically Milky Way bars, not a rarity at all.I'm posting this review simply to educate would-be buyers about what they are actually purchasing here, and to remind them(and myself) to inspect the complete listing before you click "Buy"! Lesson learned. Subtracted stars for a poorly composed listing.
