Claber 8891 Metal 60 Trolley, Black/Orange/Grey

Just assembled this and I am really pleased with it. Sturdy construction and easy to use. My only criticism would be the instructions... they are on the side of the box and I literally had to get a magnifying glass to work them out... should have gone to Specsavers!! But don't let that put you off. Highly recommended!!

This item is very well made and let down only by the poor assembly instructions displayed on the box. There is a Youtube video which will assist considerably. I suggest any purchaser view that video first. Ordered from keengardener on 29th August and it was delivered by 9.30 am on 31st August. It reels my hosepipe in with a very smooth and effortless action. Bear in mind that additional hosepipe fittings will be required to connect the reel to a water tap. I am confident that if well looked after that this reel will last for years.

Having looked around for a while, opted for this nice looking model after some good reviews. First off it was made in Italy not your usual PRCDesign is pretty good being Italian and surprisingly holds some pretty heavy duty hose. Assembly instructions are printed on the side of the box and are clear and easy to follow, once you've grasped the part list and spent some 10 minutes or so analyzing the contents. Once you have the smaller wheels in place the rest is pretty straight forward. Surprisingly there was a lot of whingeing from some reviewers about lack of paper instructions.Perhaps it was frustrating at first, but have someone else with you to add feedback and all comes apparent pretty quickly.It's well engineered and should last for some years i.e. if some main components don't give up i.e. plastic parts should have been metal ideally but will wait and see. There is a video available on the construction (...) but it's so heavily edited in whole that you need to guess the missing sections, so to be honest found it to be a waste of time.Have knocked off a star for plastic components, as no reason they could not have been metal (cut down on costing probably). My main gripe were the wheels....once again looks like cost was the issue ; some nice rubber tires would have been good. All in all it's pricey, but it stands out from the rest and you get what you pay for, I couldn't see anything better

I have not actually used this in anger yet but am impressed with the quality and ease of assembly. While the actual metal seems quite thin, once assembled the whole unit was sturdy and seemed quite strong. An instruction leaflet would have been helpful as following the instructions on the side of the box wasnt quite so easy.I was looking for a reel suitable for use with 20mm hose but had to guess as to whether this would be big enough. As soon as it arrived however it was clearly marked on the box the length of different diameter hoses that would fit. This would have been really helpful on the website!!!

easy to assemble and easy to operate

Looked at other makes and found them too fragile so paid extra for this without much belief it would be adequate. But i couldn't have been more wrong. It proved to be very sturdy and works brilliantly, making setting up for watering tasks take seconds that formerly took 10 mins or longer to get sorted. Couldn't be happier. Takes my 50m hose with no trouble.

Looks good when new, but three years later, having been very careful about how it is treated, it is rusting away from under the paintwork. If you’re old enough to remember cars of the 70’s and 80’s, especially Lancia’s, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Not worth the money. My 20 year old hoselock reel was in better condition when I replaced it with this. Not happy, so if you’re thinking about getting one, DON’T!

The hose real is excellent and much better than well known brand I was previously using, albeit the handle on this was broken hence the need to replace. Only giving 3 stars as had to return the first Claber hose reel due to missing parts from the sealed bag of parts!My second gripe is the poor assembly instructions. The instructions on the side of pack are fairly small and as they are just photographic images, the mainly black small parts can take a lot of studying to decipher! But once you get your head around this, assembly is fairly straight forward. You will need a bit of strength fitting the supporting leg tube into the main plastic part that holds the reel element, as assembly is based on an interference fit.Third gripe with this purchase is that there is no parts list supplied with the pack (unusual for a self assembly product) Luckily, the first missing parts became apparent at stage 2 of the assembly (so breaking the hose reel down to return was not too tedious). Contacted both seller and manufacturer for a parts list and both said they couldn't supply one. Tengo este carrito desde hace poco más de una año y ya está casi para la basura. Todos los partes de metal se oxidan y se rompió la manivela. Calidad pésima.

Dieser Claber-Schlauchwagen mit Metalltrommel ist robust ist und kippt auch nicht um, wenn man aus einiger Entfernung an dem Schlauch zieht, um diesen weiter abzuwickeln. Außerdem knickt der Schlauch nicht ab an der Stelle, an der die erste Lage auf die Trommel aufgewickelt wird. Die genannten Eigenschaften werden von weniger zufriedenen Kunden immer wieder in den Rezensionen anderer Schlauchwagen bemängelt, die Kunststofftrommeln haben. Diese Wagen (vorzugsweise von einem sehr bekannten deutschen Hersteller) sind bei diversen Tests in deutschen Heimwerkermagazinen stets auf den vorderen Rängen gelandet. Einzige Alternative in diesen Tests waren exorbitant teure Schlauchwagen aus Metall.Mein erster Kauf im späten Frühjahr 2015 war ein (mühsam aufzubauender) Aldi-Schlauchwagen, bei dem sich leider bereits nach wenigen Tagen die Trommel nicht mehr drehen ließ, weil die Kunststoffkurbel zu schwach ausgelegt war für das Aufwickeln eines 3/4''-Schlauchs mit 25 m Länge. Nach der Rückgabe habe ich diverse Tests und Kundenrezessionen gründlich studiert und war etwas ratlos.Schließlich habe ich mich auf amazon.uk umgeschaut (auch Engländer pflegen ihre Gärten!) und diesen Claber-Schlauchwagen als perfekten Kompromiss zwischen Qualität und Preis ausgemacht. Einen besitze ich seit Juli 2015, einen zweiten habe ich letzte Woche online gekauft, allerdings nicht bei Amazon.Der Claber-Schlauchwagen ist schnell und einfach zusammenzubauen. Allerdings ist die Aufbauanleitung nur auf der Umverpackung in Form von 18 winzigen farbigen Bildern aufgedruckt, die man ohne Zuhilfenahme einer Lupe nur mit jungen Augen richtig deuten kann. Trotz dieser Einschränkung sind die 5 Sterne gerechtfertigt, auch wegen des wirklich guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses. Die Räder sind übrigens nicht auch Metall (wie in der Beschreibung steht) sondern aus robustem und rostfreiem Kunststoff, was sinnvoll und völlig o.k. ist.

L'enrouleur était bien plus facile à monter que ce que j'attendais vu certains commentaires. Dommage que la base de la manivelle soit en plastique et non pas métallique comme le reste de l'enrouleur. Un peu léger quand on a 60 mètres de tuyau à enrouler, il faut garder un pied sur le socle. Autrement un bon rapport qualité / prix et assez grand pour un long tuyau.
