We got it for the kitchen to keep our baby from crawling to the kichen. It was relatively easy to install, but we found out that it is not the best solution for the high traffic area. It will be better for another place in the home with less traffic.

Item is not good for an area you use because it is cumbersome to remove.

I needed something to keep the toddler and dog away from the kitchen when I am cooking. This seems to do ok but it might not be adequate for bigger dogs or animals that like to claw. I don't think the mesh material will hold up clawing, scratching etc. But I guess it depends on the behavior/obedience of the pet. Installation is easy with the adhesive so it isn't permanent. Not much to lose for the cost of this.

Produce was ordered and the adhesive was missing. It was too difficult to return the itemSince it was ordered for an international address. Really dissatisfied with this.

Just your basic mesh barrier. It's an Adhesive mesh barrier that doesn't retract in any way. Works for the purpose of keeping toddlers or pets out, but not meant for high traffic areas. I wouldn't use this for my house unless it was a room rarely ever used. It's worth trying.

Super easy to set up. Love how clean it looks and not too flashy. Great for either pets or a baby. Mesh is high quality. I use for a baby, but worry that a dog or cat could scratch at the mesh and break it.

I've been trying for years to figure out an effective way to keep my cats out of my room unattended, so they can't break my expensive collectibles, without having to keep the door shut all of the time. I was hopeful, since the holes are the same on all sides, that I could attach it vertically, so they couldn't jump over it, but my doorway was just shy of fitting it that way. It fits perfectly, horizontally, the way it's meant to (for a baby or a dog), but unless your doorway is smaller than mine, it's not ideal for cats or kittens. I might try to attach it to the inner door, but I'm afraid it won't be as secure that way. I'm also not obsessed with the material on an aesthetic level. I thought it would be a little more neutral, since it seems so transparent in the product photos, and although it does appear somewhat transparent from a distance, the shade of shiny gray plastic upclose doesn't quite go with my vibe (although I imagine it does well outside or in damp environments). Most of my problems with it are to my personal tastes and needs though, and I feel it's an effective product overall. I love how impermanent the attachment style is and the material itself is thick and secure so babies and pets (who aren't impressive jumpers) would be well restricted by it. Overall, I'm not obsessed, but it would do the job well under other circumstances, so I do recommend it.

If I would rate this product for the way it is advertised, I would rate them 1 or 2 stars. My rating is based on how I ised the product & how satisfied I am with the way I used it.I did not use the adhesive parts that come with the set, as I saw pictures of another reviewer mentioning how it damaged their wall. I instead ised the zip ties that come with it to tie the 4 ends to 4 posts (that the zip tie would go around.This isn't a very user friendly product, specialpy if you use the area you're trying to block a lot. The button that releases the zip tie is not easy to press, & when you release the ties on the 2 top ends, the bottom 2 remain there & the product just lies on the floor. It's specially hard if you're holding a baby.I used this for an area I don't enter much & it's working fine for me, just a temporary solution, to remove when baby is older, without any damage (without using the adhesive parts).As for how it looks, it doesn't look like the prodict pictures, it is made of sturdy mesh, but it comes wrinkled, & you don't get the polished look of the pictures, even after washing the mesh (it's machine washable).Overall it's serving its temporary purpose for me, but it's not the best looking & not user friendly.
