Professional Electronic Digital Vernier Caliper (Made in Germany)

I'm not a regular user of engineering tools, though I do have some experience in the past with non-digital vernier calipers, so this review is very much a layman's perspective.It comes well packaged in a plastic box, complete with rather less than detailed instructions. However, it does feel a quality product, with a nice crisp fit and finish to surfaces, and the movement of the vernier is smooth. Once I'd discovered how to insert the battery (slide the battery cover, the bit with a circular hump on it, to the right), I found the display easy to read. I know these devices can be had for just a few pounds, but I opted for this rather more expensive version in the hope of avoiding the 'junk', and what I received is reassuring. For my level of use I wasn't prepared to spend more.Delivery was in advance of the anticipated date.

Very good quality tool delivering consistent results (consistency is crucial - many cheap versions give you a different reading every time). One star knocked off because it was supplied with a dud battery.

If you want accuracy and you want reliability with functionality, look no further than the Germans. A quality tool that screams reliability and accuracy.Damn sight better than many of the cheaper alternatives offered in here.If you want quality, dig into your pockets. This is worth every penny.

Accurate and easily switchable between Imperial and Metric - being digital almost too accurate! Looks to be well made and durable for the price. A good buy.

A fine instrument for this price. Measurements are very repetable, even the large ones. Since the instrument shows down to 0.01mm, one has to try and repeat the force used during the measurement too. I get +/- 0.02mm repeatability. The inner diameter tip is machined nicely enough.The case is a bit cheapo but serves the purpose to protect the calipers in my tool drawer. Unfortunately nowhere to keep the included paperwork - either throw it away or tape it to the box, because otherwise it'll be in the way of taking the calipers out of the case every time.

Well made, better than others on the market, made in germany, what more do you need to say ? A little more expensive but worth it

I am not experienced so take account of that. I love these things - they are easy to use and seem accurate (returning to zero for example every time). The quality seems good to me. Certainly I should NOT have bought anything more expensive for my needs - these are more than good enough.

Japnese digital vernier calipers are just too expensive. This German made tool is the right price and appears to be accurate enough for the work I am doing
