WAIYUCNHard EVA Carrying Case for Tascam Portacapture X8 High Resolution Multi-Track Recorder Case.

The case that I received fits my Tascam X8 as depicted in the pictures, so no complaints. Yes, it's true the band of the case doesn't snug the Tascam down tightly, but no big deal - I'll just add some buffering material in there to snug things up.

It holds my recorder well, and is rigid enough to give me confidence that it would provide protection from short falls or other trauma. My only complaint is that the small, elastic pocket on the other half(the lid, I suppose) it a little loose and the cables and things I store often end up flopping around in the case during transport.

WAIYUCN makes several of these type cases that are identical except for a slight change in dimensions. The case I received is supposed to be for the TASCAM Portacapture x8, but the dimensions are different than those described for that particular case.For reference, the case I received measures as follows: Interior -- 8 1/4 in x 4 1/8 in x 2 3/8 in (1 3/4 in bottom depth plus 5/8 in top depth). Exterior -- 8 3/4 in x 4 3/4 in x 2 1/2 in.Also, the case came in a plastic bag that had 3 tags removed (there were no tags left on the bag).So, it appears I may have received one of the company's different sized cases, not one designed specifically for the x8. In the end, the x8 does fit in the case (although not nested tightly on the sides), and it's not worth my time and effort to go through the return process.

Like other reviewers said. Not sized like photo. Band does not hold X8 tight. Easy to have microphones break as unprotected and right up to edge if case.
