They look awesome and are very bright. I put one on each 4"x4" post on either side of the gate on the side of my house. they light up the whole side of the house. My only complaint it the aluminum is very thin and brittle,I was screwing it down to the top of the post and one of the screws went right through the base with very little torque. so i was extremely careful with the other 3 holes. Also there are only 2 screws per base so now I need to caulk the hole paint it to match the base drill another hole and add a second screw. one screw is holding it good but I fear it will brake if bumped. the aluminum should be thicker or reinforced at the mounting points. I gave 4 stars because they look awesome and the brightness blew me away its easily as bright as my hard wired 120v lamp post at my driveway. (JUST BE DELECATE SCREWING IT DOWN) I just hope they're not so brittle they break off if bumped entering and exiting the gate with large items.
