Quite Pleased, Very Sturdy and Light
I badly needed something to carry water, First Aid supplies, and some tools on my new E-Bike. I could not mount a water bottle holder on the frame. Just no way with the Lithium Battery. This bike rack was somewhat simple to install on the bike. I was careful to use the included rubber shims on the clamps that go on the frame. I did not want to scratch or damage my paint job, and I wanted the rack to stay secure. I was EXTRA careful when I mounted the clamp where my back brake cable runs. The cable literally runs under the bolt of the clamp now(see pic). I paid attention to make sure everything was properly aligned. Please Note: The bag in the photos DID NOT come with the rack. I bought that at a department store. I was pleasantly delighted with the bungie cord, and web tie town. The reflector literally just slides on, and to me, it looked like one good bump, and the reflector would pop out. So....I cut a piece of the rubber shim, and pushed it in behind the reflector, its very sturdy now. This rack is very lightweight.

Solid product for the price point!
I'm very satisfied with this product and we'll be buying another one for my daughters bike. I think the seat post mount makes for a very sturdy platform. the rack actually slides on the tube so you can move it further away from the seat or closer to the seat. My daughter's bike only has 20 inch wheels and I will slide it forwards and then cut off the remaining tube. I would say it's easy to put together assuming that anyone that's buying this knows that the handle is not the pointy end of a screwdriver. It is universal so it does not fit like a glove out of the box you have to bend or pull things to make it just right but it is very adjustable and I'm very happy with the result.

overall an upgrade over the ones without side supports
TREK FX-3 Hydrid bike. Fits fine. This rack is not bad with my old Roswheel velcro attached bag strapped to it. Sandwiches out of my bag for lunch could not be easier. I like the bungie cord which can be attached in 6 spots and seems very good. I can see using this if coming back from a store, mounting the bungee cords with the (small) store bag/package right over my bike bag. I have had 3-4 bike racks on various bikes over the last 15 years. This one may last. Lightweight and sturdy. Unless you mount a boulder on top of it, it is not going to break. I do like that this rack has side supports mounting to the rear frame. My previous rack was WITHOUT the two side supports on and attached only to the bike seat post making it very unstable (weak) and could move side to side. This rack was easy to install - 20 minutes. I followed the video on the Amazon site, not the instructions which in my opinion seems to make things harder than they should be. Tighten the screws/bolts down but i would not put excessive force/tightening - you do not want anything to snap on the mounts. Not that the mounts are cheap - but the design is LIGHTWEIGHT not to mount a 350 engine onto a Ford. I choose NOT to put on the side bars as I do not use a saddle bar at the moment. Those complaining about the side bar not being long enough and the bags hitting the wheel...... the side bar is stiff lightweight alum, and it is pretty obvious the fix is to just bend/angle the stiff alum out a bit from the wheels and it should not be an issue with saddle bags.

Solid rack
The rack is sold. I've had it for over a year and have a basket on it, so it deals with heavy loads on grocery day and moderate loads during the work day. It hasn't budged from where I set it. Don't get me wrong it was a pain in the ass to install since there are a lot of different components to tighten, but it is solid once done. The cargo net didn't last. The bungee material in it gave out after a couple of months and I didn't use it often; maybe twice a month for big grocery runs

Easy to install on my Totguard e-bike.
Purchased this for my Totguard e-bike. Fits perfectly. Took about an hour to install All parts were included and easily identifable. Two observations: 1) The rack includes several pieces of rubber with no instructions about where to install them. I finally decided they were to place between the various connections and the bike’s frame to avoid scratching the frame. 2) The installation instructions say all necessary tools are included. But the only tool included is a hex wrench, which would be sufficient with regular nuts. But the nuts are self locking nuts and require a 10mm wrench to hold them while tightening the hex bolts. The bike rack includes a cargo net with attachment hooks and a bungee cord to lash smaller items to the rack. I enjoyed assembling the rack and look forward to using it for rides in our western Virginia mountains on warm days.

Rugged upgrade for a well-loved mountainbike
This rack replaced an old dinged up rack on my 22 year old Diamondback. I had no clue what the old one's weight capacity was and we are planning on adding a puppy to our lives. This rack will hold the new family member and crate with no problem when the paws tire out. It arrived securely bubblewrapped with no damage. I had plenty of room to attach to my seatpost and the expandable legs were long enough to attach it securely to the frame at a good looking angle. There were included rubbery pads so you don't have to be an old tube hoarder to tighten the seatpost clamp or protect your frame. I like being able to adjust the whole rack forward or back depending on the seat spacing. Directions were clearly illustrated and explained. I swapped and used the shorter bolts for the frame clamps and will use the longer ones for the pannier guard. One very small issue is that it is best to install the reflector BEFORE sliding and securing the rack back from the seat. Looks sharp, and a good investment. Even had a nice thank you card included.

Poor Quality & Workmanship
Update nearly 4 months, and only two uses, later: what an absolute piece of trash. My initial observations (below) were on point: incredibly soft and cheap aluminum, poor tolerances, etc. The quick release handle collapsed on itself when I went to attach it the SECOND time I used it. No, I wasn't using excessive force, a tool, or a lever of any sort. The (rest of the) Bad: The materials are really cheap, even at this price, and the tolerances loose. When the screws are even marginally tightened, the (very) soft aluminum gouges and dents. The tolerances for where the thick wire rim goes around the top of the rack are so loose that on one side, the weld was used to bridge the material gap (compare the first two pictures). The reflector mount is made in such a way as to make mounting any light in its place nearly impossible (see third and fourth pictures). It seems like a safety measure that management insisted on, and at the last minute, it was added to the design, or it was a modest attempt at covering the end of the extruded main tube. Either way, it’s useless to me if I can’t put a light there. The welds are hit and miss (see fifth picture). Some are good, most are really bad. Quality control seems to give an easy pass. The detachable loops meant to support panniers are worthless. They’re too short. I don’t have a tape measure nearby, but I’d guess they extend ~6” down from the bolts, which isn’t anywhere near enough for common attachment methods. So, I can’t use panniers with this. I think the best word to describe the loops would be decorative. You could maybe say cute, but functional? No. My kit was missing a screw and nut. Finally, a small gripe: the hardware is basic, just nuts and bolts for the most part. It adds unnecessary weight. Though they include tools, and although it’s likely that you’ll only have to set this up once, it’s also quite unsightly in an industry obsessed with clean looks. The Good: It’s a rare setup to clamp to the seat post and the seat stays, so if your bike doesn’t have eyelets for a rack, you can use this. There are three options for mounting the supports that run from the rack to the seat stays, though if you choose an option other than the middle, you’ll need longer screws (not included).

Flimsy but installs to ebike
There are pros and cons to this bike rack. Overall, I would not purchase again if I could find a sturdier rack that would fit my ebike. Pros --Fits unusual ebike frame that has a motor in the back tire making it too wide for traditional bike racks, has disc brakes that block the holes often used for bike racks, and rectangle frame pieces that often won't fit other bike racks. --Has much more strength and stability than a bike rack that only attaches to the seatpost. I used one of those originality and it only lasted a few weeks before snapping. --Would probably hold up decently for light road only use. Cons --Difficult to install. It seemed easy to install at first, but the bike rack quickly started to come apart when installed using only the included parts and directions. --Needed modifications to work as advertised. Bolts rattled off and the rubber pads on the seatpost didn't keep the rack stable. It would move from side to side when biking. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy loctite, new bolts to replace the ones that fell off, and thick pads to replace the flimsy rubber pads (I used carpet pads with adhesive on one side). This corrected the excessive movement. If you do buy this rack, I'd plan to pick up these supplies and use them right away when you install it. --Flimsy. The bike rack has now snapped and is broken as you can see in the 1st photo. I've used the bike rack for 9 months and it's had about 800 miles of use. I've loaded it with up to 50 lbs, but never close to the 110 lbs it claims it can handle. I do ride the bike on and off curbs sometimes and have taken it on gentle trails, but roughly 85% of the miles have been with very light weight on smooth roads. I'm going to try to use some jb weld to hold it together, but I'm very disappointed in the longevity! Overall, this bike rack might work well for someone with an ebike who plans to only carry very light loads (under 20 lbs) and stick to smooth roads. The ideal owner will also be handy and able to make modifications and repairs as needed or bike so infrequently that problems won't come up.

Great product. Would totally recommend this one.
This is a really nice sturdy rack. I didn’t expect it to be so solid. I would totally recommend this and buy it again.
