Even when installed outside of the window frame, it won't block all the light coming from outside as advertised, even following all the instructions and having the correct size and all, because when rolled down it leaves a small gap (about 0.5 to 1 inch) between the wall and the roller shade.If you don't necessarily need 100% of the light blocked, it's a good item for it's price. I needed it for my room, to be able to sleep during daytime, and it's definitely better than a curtain, but not really what I expected about ''100% blackout''.

I am so very happy with this purchase. The seller inquired how was my blind, even before I had time to install. I've been trying to cover a window in a door, so it had to be perfect because the dead lock turn was on the left side of window. I ordered from another blind company and they messed up 2 sets of blinds! I'm very pleased I went with this seller. Remember to read the description because, a bit of actual material is removed from the actual "blind" for placement on roller. Thank you !

My only problem with these is that I ordered the wrong size and now I am stuck with light coming from the sides, but that is my own dumb fault, not this.

My window was just slightly too small for this blind really, but I was able to make it work with a bit of struggle. It would have been easy to install if not for that. It does a lovely job of blocking out the light, and it’s clean, crisp and simple and pretty. The chain is plastic, and kinda janky, but it doesn’t really bother me. I’m very happy overall.

When to hardware store for the plastic zip or tap to install on each side of the Dark Shades to make it official dark room work out great. Easy to install with no problem using the guide from the website. Work out great.

Disappointed based on reviews. This shade looks cheap & probably won’t hold up. The “chain” is made of cheap thin plastic beading. The blind fully pulled out to specified length shows the cheap metal rod at top. It leaves gaps at sides so not full blackout. Very disappointed.

I needed a shade to block the hot summer sun that heats up my bedroom, I had to turn on the light to take this picture it’s dark in there now (suns still beaming). Now I can cut the a/c back. Seemed like a lot of parts to this one, compared to others I’ve bought. Apparently I didn’t order a wide enough shade & couldn’t mount it to the window trim (the trims not flat) so I had to screw it in to the wall just above the window trim. Worked out great I’m happy with it.

I have a large window behind my desk and the glare from sun onto my computer strained my eyes.Now i can pull the blind down when necessary and it works great.It was a bit tricky to install by myself but I managed it. I didn't have to go and look for help ;)Thanks.
