Yes you can i used pressure washer and it still stays on :)

Can you still see the lights

u can spray as much or as little as u want onto the lights,the more u put on the darker it will be,mist coat it a few times and then let dry,then do it again till u are happy with the tint,it will take a lot before u will not be able to see the lights

Tinted the my rear lights but it has come out mat grey and not black, why?

It goes over 120 grit nicely, any coarser and the lines show can show through. No need for primer just build up the coats slowly it is very easy to get runs if you go too heavy I found.
