This thing is a beast. It's well built and easy to assemble. Mine was missing a slider for the Oxygen inlet, but I used an old one, and it still works fine. I added some refractory mortar as soon as I got it, and it heats up beautifully. No worp in the lid, yet. The set comes with some pretty nice gloves and tongs that are solid too. The bag it comes in is good quality too. Definitely would recommend this forge for newbies or novices such as myself.

The thermal insulation in here needs to be treated before use. Inhaling around this untreated is not healthy from what I read. Need to treat the fibers or cover in refractory cement. I do love mine though, have had a lot of fun with it. Just protect your health.

For a simple like forge, I’ve been getting lots of use out of it. Done about 12 copper melts and it’s been great. I’m hooked to the hobby now

This is my first time smelting metals, I collected all my soda cans and put them in a couple at a time and it was super fun. The Furnace works well, I think the best advice I can give is get some long matches for lighting it and make sure you have gloves.From a safety perspective check that the wingnut holding the torch section is tight before each use and remember you are working with very high temps.I would recommend this furnace for a beginner :)

I have been wanting to get a propane furnace for a while and try my hand at smelting different metals and trying to make them into something. Up on receiving this I noticed that everything was very well secured and in great condition. It was very padded in the box so there was no damage or dents in any of the materials. It came with everything that it was supposed to come with with no missing pieces as well. The only thing you will need to get is a propane tank to hook up to this. After getting your propane tank you'll just hook it up to the gas pipe and connect the gas pipe to the furnace and you are good to go. It comes with a crucible as well as tongs so you can put whatever you want to melt down into The Crucible and use the tongs to pull it in and out. This even comes with heat resistant gloves to make it an easy time for you. This furnace can definitely get very hot and definitely stands up to other similar type furnaces. It's also nice and compact so it's not like overly huge to where you cannot maneuver it where you want it to be. This comes with everything you will need to get started other than the propane tank. I absolutely love this and I am 100% hooked to this Hobby now! Definitely got to give this a 10/10! For the size and portability you cannot beat this price! Super happy with this
