My Peleton Cycling Short of Choice!
To start this review, you have to understand I don't care for the 9" padded cycling short for my Peleton workouts...I am not doing the Tour de France or the La Vuelta a Espana with 21 stages and 18 stages respectively, I am on my Pelton, stationary biking an putting in the miles!!! The XGC is roughly a 6" short which is perfect for me. It's only cycling short that I need! And...I don't wear it as underwear...I wear it AS my cycling short. I just finished up a 180 mile Peleton stationary bike ride over the past three days wearing the XGC which fits really well and is outstandingly comfortable as well. I like the short's 6" or so leg length most of all. Reason, for my triathlon years I raced wearing a 7" tri-short , which as most of you may know, has very little padding. Which presented me with a problem wearing the XGC with 4D gel padding...it was kinda 'diaper' like once I got them on...the padding just felt really awkward...but once on the bike I quickly realized how comfortable the XGC was compared to my tri-short. The XGC felt really good on and when on the Peleton. The fit and breathability of the fabric is terrific. I just finished 61 miles today on the Peleton in about 80 plus mins...the XGC cycling short was awesome!! I thought once on the bike's saddle I'd have this sliding gel pad thingy to deal with...didn't happen. Sitting on the bike and feeling around the perimeter of the saddle the padding was right-in-line WITH the bike's saddle - not over the perimeter of the saddle as I was expecting. For sizing, I am 6'3" at 185lbs and a 34" waist...I selected the medium XGC and it fits me perfectly. So I am offering up this review because I really recommend this short for any indoor riding you do...truly a terrific, well designed, super priced, and awesomely stitched together for a cycling short - no rubbing/friction from the seam stitching! I have spent the last six months just looking for a cycling short to wear on the Peleton and finally chose the XGC ... it was the right decision!!

good for biking
I ride with these. They are light weight. Comfortable. Came out of the washer in good shape. If you don't mind them being a bit short it's a good value.

Very comfortable. Really good value
I purchased 3 pair to test for riding a new Peloton. I haven't ridden anything in years so needed something with padding to break-in my body. I was worried on the price for these as it seemed too cheap, but so far the shorts have worked well.I had to get with size XL, and the undi-shorts fit correctly. The gel-pad area has a bit of room actually, and at first I thought it would bunch up a little and become uncomfortable, but that didn't happen. After I ride, the pad space gets taken up but doesn't bunch. Def not a problem for me.The construction is good. The seams all look well sewed, no loose threads, no misaligned stitching, and the material and seams are comfortable. I don't get any itching, pulling of body hair, no soreness or imprints from the seams, and no chaffing. Super happy with all that.As for the pad, it's not as thick as my last pair of undi-shorts (forgot the brand, but I do remember they cost twice as much), and it didn't pad as well as the previous ones I had. But they definitely made a difference in my ride comfort. So much so that once my backside becomes accustomed to the seat, I am going to continue to wear these shorts until they no longer fit me.I run all three pair through one ride and one wash and everything has been fine. You cannot machine dry them, but they dried in a few hours just by hanging them of course (gotta love technical materials). So the end of it is that I am happy with these puppies, and I went ahead and ordered more so I can get through the week. Good stuff.

Yes Sir!
These are just right in every way. The fit was just right based on my usual size and expected fit. The feel and weight of the fabric is just right and they feel just like a soft, comfortable pair of underwear. Except for the pad, I don’t even notice I’m wearing them. I’ve tried some other cycling underwear brands and they feel kind of bulky or too much like regular cycling shorts. The fabric is a stretchable mesh and they feel great under a pair of regular gym shorts. Lastly, the padding is just right. It cushions all the right spots and holds up well. Also, the pad is the right size and not too bulky or uncomfortable in any way. These feel great for use on the indoor trainer.

They're ok
Fit is good. I've been wearing them for a bout half a dozen rides and they didn't slip, pinch etc.Sizing chart was accurate for me as well. The biggest thing is the pad. It's thick and huge, and while it's doing an ok job in the areas most needed (where the two hip bone corners touch the saddle) it also provides a lot of padding in other areas which are not ever affected by bicycling. As a result it feels like wearing diapers or so.I compared the padding to my Novara shorts - they have increased padding in the center and very thin padding in the outer areas. Also, the padding material is a bit denser. These are not bad pants for the price. The better ones cost at least 3x as much. It really boils down to expectations. I'd generally recommend them, just think that people should be aware that they shouldn't expect top quality.
