Thank you for great product!
We used this product last July. It is now May and has held up so well. We didn't know if we would use this and then have a professional do an insert over it but so far so good with just the Ekopel.I held off on this product since I had trouble reaching any human for questions. So glad I just went ahead and took my chances. The lack of odor is amazing. We had it done "professionally" one year and the smell was so toxic. Dries quickly was an easy answer for us since we didn't need it to look brand new just clean and sparking....fresh start for our old tub. Thank you!

Great stuff for a non toxic diy job and very thick
Works great. Overall love the finish and ease for a diy product. The most physically demanding parts are hand mixing for 10 minutes and babysitting the drain. If you only use a tape dam it will get through so you need to watch it longer than you may have planned. Scoop a generous amount for the outside of the tub or the texture might not come out smooth. I don't mind the effect though. The smell is strong but not toxic. Keep your beard and other hair out of the way because after a few hours its almost impossible to get it to level after picking them out. Glossy finish that you wont scratch with your nails but cleaning with a razor blade is probaby a no go.

Not for the perfectionist
Ok. So pretty good product, but very difficult to get right.I watched all the YouTube, followed all directions. If you are okay with slightly less than perfect here are a few tips. I am ok with mine, looks better than ugly pink tile, and WAY cheaper (not necessarily faster) than retiling. My over sized stand alone shower, spa tub, and 60inch tub with tile wall each took 2 lg buckets, so I did 6 buckets of this stuff and I'm now waiting on 1 touch up kit.Focus on each one independently. Don't do 2 in 1 day even if scrubbing, even if taping are done day before. Because you want to baby sit the 1 project for a full 2 hours and then some. I thought I have quiet a bit left over I'll get going on shower to make sure I have enough. Bad choice. I did not babysit tub enough and the drips are evident. When you use lysol toilet bowl cleaner dont let it touch fixtures it ruined it. Clean, then fully dry, then tape. Tape everything with solid connection/stick. If it doesn't epoxy moves it and gets under it. Tape drain exactly where you don't want epoxy. Make sure to protect the floor it will drip and get on it. Have a trash can easy to dumb stuff in for when you change gloves, and trash rollers. It starts to harden about 90 minutes after mixing, touch ups on drips are okay for about 30 more minutes, but you want full project done by 90 minutes. It will smear and ruin your work for the next 24 hours. Any hair, mosquito, or drip will be impossible to fix after first 120 min until it is 24 hours dry. Just leave it.Remove tape when it is 120 minutes dry. But, oh so carefully. I pulled tape from wall as carefully as possible and caught the end in the epoxy and smeared it. It never leveled back out. I will have to chip out and touch up kit it.But, if you don't remove tape then it hardens in the epoxy and chips and breaks more. After messing it up and not able to reach jet drains I left them. See pics. This stuff is THICK GOOD QUALITY. As such it drips after making wall nice pretty and smooth. By 3rd project I followed this order. Section 1 pour at high point, used GLOVED HANDS to finger smothe it as far as material would go (this worked way better than included roller), changed gloves, used roller to smooth as much as possible, move to next section and follow same procedure, but after rolling I would roll section 1 again and by time I was done roll section 2 again before pouring section 3. Follow this until it is applied everywhere. The side you cant see of the tub must be smoothed over several times. You won't see it dripping so you must be very intentional here. You finish the project, change gloves and smooth it out for the next 20 minutes. Make sure not puddling at drain get it scooped out if it is.Watch for puddling around edges of shower, keep smoothing it out. As you watch for drips remove tape VERY CAREFULLY.Target Baby wipes take it off skin and oops really well when done immediately. 320 grit sand paper if drys more. Have a hole box of disposable gloves. Switch them out and save your sanity.

Buyer Beware - the WHITE kit I purchased turned out IVORY
A total shame this product was not as advertised after spending 4 days of homework, arduous prep, & application. The product dried to a nice glossy finish - unfortunately that was IVORY & not the WHITE I ordered. IF YOU ORDERED WHITE & YOUR PART B APPEARS NEARLY ORANGE THEN STOP & CONTACT THE SELLER!! I had not used this product before & the hardener in all 4 sets (parts A & B pairs) was the same orange color - mixing looked like a caramel sundae. I wondered how it could finish as true white & my husband asked what was wrong with it, but we are on a deadline to get our house on the market so had to forge ahead. After emailing the seller with questions after the fact I was told this discoloration was due to oxidation. I told them that is strange for a closed bottle of product that is supposed to have a 2 year shelf life. The pros: I can say the dried finish looks great, & online reviews say it is the most durable finish for this purpose. The cons: it cost me $216 for a double set of kits to cover our free standing shower; prep is extensive & takes much longer than described if you are new to this; enclosed directions lacked crucial information for application. The biggest issue there is the self-leveling agent & drying time. I watched the company's more extensive FAQ video after the fact since was looking for how soon I needed to remove the edge taping done during prep. There I found out that the SELF LEVELING AGENT IN THE PRODUCT EVAPORATES OUT AFTER 1 HOUR SO THERE IS A TICKING CLOCK ON THE PRODUCT AFTER MIXING. I took my time & went slowly only to see my orange peel finish on the front of my shower pan spread out like a zombie apocalypse hit it. That was the last area covered as I worked my way out of the shower. I simply could have left 1/2 the batch in the covered jar as I applied the first 1/2. Instead I had to spend a 1/2 hour trying to fix it after letting the product get sticky enough that it wouldn't run. Other reviews noted that people did touch ups well after initial completion. Just know that it may work well on the bottom of your tub/shower since gravity will do the leveling for you, but may not be effective for the vertical surfaces. So my ratings explained:Overall = 1 since this is the most expensive product available for this purpose & it has totally messed up my black/white design in which all other elements are already purchased;Easy To Use = 3 since prep is horrible but the product itself is easy enough to roll on evenly if you have any experience doing regular paintingDurability = unrated since the shower is still unused & way too early to knowDrying Power = 5 since drying time was consistent with description & has hardened to a nice finish
