A must for multi floor house or additions
You really need interconnected alarms vs standalone ones. While sitting at home one day I heard a faint beeping sound. Heading downstairs I realized it was a smoke detector going off. Thankfully it was a false alarm. But it got me thinking that I would have never heard that while sleeping. Not Good! These Interlinked alarms are an easily added peace of mind. They come pre-linked. So all I did was mount them, test, and I am good to go for 10 years. I left all my existing alarms but added these 2. Now if one gets triggered on a different floor I will hear it right away.In a fire, time it crucial so being alerted asap is a must.

Remotely linked alarms! Perfect for use in an out-building.
For some time I’ve been wishing I had an easy way to rig a smoke alarm in the my outdoor shop which would ring in the house. I had never before heard of “interlinked” smoke detectors, but as soon I saw these, I knew I had my answer. Now, my first opportunity to get one of these alarms only allowed me to get a single unit. So I delayed writing a review until I had bought a second alarm. Having just now gotten another one, I’ve now linked the two. At last I have a remote alarm system for my shop (and vice versa). Here are my observations:These units are smaller than the typical smoke alarm …but as long as they do their job, that’s fine. The 10-year battery is convenient, not having to change batteries every year.I’ve tested the alarm. And yes, it is loud and annoying, as it should be.It is easy to link the units together (or even add multiple unit; up to 30); the instructions are clear and simple.Of course the whole reason I got these paired units was to alert me in case of a fire in my outdoor shop, where I would not be able to hear a regular local alarm. With these linked alarms, when one sounds off, all the other linked units also sound off. I’ve tested the alarms’ linkage, and it is wonderful to see. A couple seconds after the one starts, the other unit chimes in. …It is very satisfying to know these silent sentinels are standing by to alert me, even from a distance.I only have two units at this point, so in case of an alarm there wouldn’t be much confusion as to where the fire/smoke was. However, with a network containing multiple detectors in many locations (up to 30), you might wonder how you’d be able to figure out where the smoke/fire is? …You just push the “test/hush” button on the nearest alarm and, for a short time, all the alarms will go silent—except for the one that’s being triggered. Pretty cool.

They work just as described!
The media could not be loaded. When you set one off, the rest go off as well. Really happy with them. Def make me feel better having them in the house.

Missed the window to return this item by about 2 weeks :(
I guess it worked great for about 45 days. Now the darn thing won't shut off and there is no fire and no smoke around. Because these alarms talk to each other, all 3 go off randomly at any given time. With a toddler in the house, it's inconvenient to say the least. I do not recommend this product. It was a waste of $70+ and now I'm sourcing for other smoke alarms to put in my home.

Loud enough for sound sleepers
Item Reviewed: Wireless Interconnected Smoke Detector Fire Alarm, HATHEPHS 10 Year Battery Interlinked Smoke Alarm with Enhanced Photoelectric Sensor, Adhesive Tapes Included, 3-PackWhen we moved, we were surprised to find that this house had only a single smoke detector. These are linked together so each upstairs bedroom now has a working fire alarm. I can verify they work because *someone* forgot their dinner in the oven and every one of them screeched loudly, indicating not a fire, but a migraine. But everyone was safe! The reason for a star off is because it has a built-in battery, meaning you will need to replace all the fire detectors within the next 10 years. I'd have preferred to just change out the batteries as needed.

The frustrating parts
So the positives are that it is small and easy to program-interconnect. The negative: the plastic mounting plate holes are a few millimeters from the old holes. I wanted to use the old location otherwise you have a hole in your ceiling. Gathering all the alarms and ready to mount - you accidently will hit the test button and there is no cancel test feature (ugh - frustrating). Putting the smoke alarm onto mounting plate is difficult (am on a ladder reaching up) - one of mine came apart - weakly held together - ugh throw that one out. The mounting plates are crap and diff to separate them. The maintenance states to vacuum and clean every 90 days (ridiculous when they don't come off the mounting plate or fall apart when you try to separate). I can't imagine that sticky tape will hold any kind of rotation. Poor design. Lets hope these last more than 5 years.
