Very disappointed in the general quality and reliability of the entire ice maker. The original controller started skipping cycles within the first year of operation. This OEM/exact replacement part has actually been worse. I installed it at the beginning of December 2016. It operated without fault through January 2017. Within the past 3 weeks, the unit will operate with increasing failures to remain running. . . It simply shuts down and will not restart automatically. It can be restarted by manually resetting the start switch. I've had an undercounter ice machine in my bar for 35 years until the old Whirlpool finally gave it up through a compressor failure. MaxxIce in Florida has been entire useless over the phone by advising these machines only malfunction when they're not cleaned properly. My cleaning schedule and methods are exacting, timely, and have been effective over many years.George Wolf
