Why did I wait so long?!
This frame is amazing! Easy to put together. Comes with three sets of dowels in 12, 15 and 18 inches. Super comfortable and so easy to set up. Totally worth the price. Toss out your old frames after you get this cause you'll never need another frame again!

I really liked how its made with love and care you can tell its good quality a very attractive lap stand and its realllllly simple to use . I even used the American Dream no basting system on the scrolls and made it my own. I cant wait to get the Mini Doodler lap stand and smaller scroll rods!

Nice Quality
This frame is well made and came with two size dowels which is nice. I think it works great as a lap frame for smaller size projects but I'm working on a HAED and it is pretty massive. I had to order a 36" dowel from Etsy to fit my project. It's nice that it holds my excess fabric while I stitch but it's a bit clumsy to use as a lap frame with such long dowels. You have to figure out how to position it so you can stitch comfortably. Large projects will not fit on your lap. I almost wish there is more spacing on the bottom so you can reach in the back without having to lift the frame up. But all in all, I'm glad this was my first wooden frame besides having Qsnaps.

Customer service is amazing....
After leaving a really positive review on this item I had to change it because after a week of using this one of the knobs is unable to be tightened and I think another one is also failing. This was an expensive item, particularly with international shipping. I should have listened to others reviews who said the same thing, but was hoping there'd just been one or two that were faulty. The instructions advise that it is not necessary to over-tighten the 'knobs' which you cannot do anyway as the screw threads don't allow for this. This also means that the cross stitch canvas never stays completely taut and has to be constantly tightened. It appears this is not a long term investment, which it should be for what it cost and is a great pity as it looks great and I loved the fact that there were 3 lengths of rods for various sized projects.***UPDATE***For what this cost I contacted Amazon about my problem. They shipped out a completely new item as they were unable to provide spare parts ie more knobs. On receipt of this item one of the rods was damaged. I was totally over Amazon so I contacted the supplier directly.I should have done this in the first instance. Wayne, who makes this frame wants every stitcher to be happy. I already have a replacement rod and two spare knobs on their way. Thank you.My suggestion if considering this is to buy it directly from the supplier. He does not supply Amazon with this item and does not know who does.

Ok
Harder to use than you would think & your pattern can only go one direction in order for this to work. Harder to attach your work to the canvas. The knobs weren’t drilled out exact made it difficult to turn them. But all in all wood is quality

watch out for those knobs
I have been using this frame for three months and I was happy with it until yesterday, when I noticed that one of the knobs was no longer holding. Sure enough, the metal insert that holds the screw was missing. I know it was there in the beginning because I had read the reviews and I checked.I have ordered a replacement set of 4 knobs from etsy, for $9 plus $4 shipping. I like the frame but for a knob to fail at this price point is ridiculous.FWIW the frame arrived safely, went together easily, and looks great. It sits flat on both sides. The tape to which you stitch your canvas is soft and wide, the best I've seen.UPDATE: When the replacement knobs came (promptly) I realized the real problem. One of the four screws on the frame is much larger than the others, which I presume is why that knob has no metal socket. The replacement knobs are for the smaller size screw. I sent an email to the address on the invoice, which was not delivered because the address was not found. I have now sent a message through the etsy site and am waiting to hear something.

You won't regret this purchase
This is the first frame that I've ever purchased for my embroidery work and I am so glad that I did! I was really concerned about the hefty price tag but I'm so glad that I bought this product. I love it! I'm working on a larger embroidery piece and the traditional hoop doesn't work well. What I like about this frame in particular is that it sits on my lap. Granted, the frame that I'm using is wider than my lap but I just set it on top of a pillow and it works great. I looked at the floor stand models and was worried that I would be leaning forward hunching over constantly which is why I decided to go with the lap frame instead. I highly recommend it. Great product. Also, i was super pleased when it arrived at 12 o'clock in the afternoon after I paid for first day shipping. The only drawback was that the company did not have longer dowels for sale that I could purchase separately or even with the frame. The longest dowel is 18 inches and I wish they sold the 20 or 22 inch dowels.

Pretty nifty but only for about a week.
As an *older* adult, I really apprecite the ease of putting together this item. MUCH better than the old plastic binders we used for many years. It's pretty comfy to sit and use both hands without knotting things up too much. A bit spendy, but perhaps worth it!Well, I must change this raving review. It's been a couple of weeks, but I am taking the time out of my DOODLING to update. This didn't last very long, as one of the screws stripped, making this not help with stitching. I am going to contact the seller/maker.Meanwhile, the timing of my Christmas gifts has shifted!!

Wonderful product
Best stitching frame on the market. I’ve been stitching for 45 years and this is the easiest and sturdiness frame I have ever used.

Great Frame
This frame is top quality, made of oak. Although pricey it is worth it in my opinion. It is easy to assemble and comes with different sized bars to accommodate different sizes of needlework. The wood smells gorgeous as well! It is well finished, no rough parts at all.
