I've been looking for a hand mixer that doesn't start fast and splash everything out of the bowl, and this mixer does it! You can gradually increase the speed with the dial, and the slowest speed is actually SLOW. Love that it's cordless too!

Best purchase I've made in a long time!Stays charged for a long time! It is a little noisy BUT so is my old mixer. I love how it packs away nicely with everything all together. The only thing...I wished it had 2 wisk beaters instead I love the dial speed too!

The cordless feature is what got me, and it delivered as expected. It's so nice to be able to set up in the place that's most convenient for what I'm doing, or take it straight to the range, even. The cord also somehow always gets some kind of spill on it, and if there's no cord, that can't happen. (I mean, there are still spills, but much easier to just wipe up the counter.)It comes with a whisk attachment and wire beaters, no center post/ribbon beaters. I do not miss those even a little bit, and I think it was NYT that had some reviews basically indicating that the wire version does a better job. I was already on board for the lack of center post - the wire beaters are easier to clean and cling to less of the batter, among other things.This does not come with bread hooks, and frankly I'm more than okay with that, too. If I'm using bread hooks, I'm using the stand mixer. If frequent bread making is in your repertoire and you don't already have mixing equipment, I'd suggest getting the cheapest hand mixer you can find (not this one) and putting the savings towards a stand mixer. I just don't see a cordless hand mixer being a good choice for bread, because the power that you need for bread would add a lot of weight between the motor and the additional battery necessary to run it for a respectable amount of time.So I drug this guy out today and made some pretty stiff cookie batter. At first I was a little underwhelmed, but I forgot about the slow start - so basically the lowest setting on this is much lower than the lowest setting on other mixers. Once I calibrated apples to apples, it performs as well as expected, just less cordy and less messy. Nothing flew out of the bowl today, and I usually spray at least a little something.Also - it has a flat rear end that's quite stable, so you can sit it down with the beaters over the bowl. I'm shocked and appalled that this isn't universal, but it's not.It arrived charged and I haven't managed to run it out yet, so I don't think battery life is going to be an issue, at least not right out of the box.There's a little storage box that clips on the bottom. My other hand mixer has the same, but in that case I also have to wrangle the cord into it, which makes for a tight fit. This one is much easier.Four solid stars. If you're looking for a hand mixer to do hand mixer things, this will make your life easier and more convenient.

When I got it, it did not hold a charge more than about 15 minutes. That was fine for most things but then the charge lasted less and less until now it won't charge at all. I have only had it for 3 months. The hefty price tag prevents me from wanting to buy another. Of course it can't be returned at this point. VERY dissappointed!!!

They were really excited that it's cordless and can be recharged. There were also other features that really appealed to them.
