No name city
UPDATE! I said I would update if I experienced any problems with the drive as time went on. Drive died after about 90 days of use as extra storage for my Plex server. No longer recognized by any device, laptop or PC. Amazon has hundreds of "no name" random letter English named electronic "Brands". This is one of them. It doesn't mean it's bad, but a lot are low grade "Look at how we cut corners to sell it this cheap" brands. This product is better than that. It's a midgrade ish SSD drive. It preforms as a mid level dive does. It's not junk, it's not top tier. The through-put bog's down on large files. It's long term lifespan is a complete unknown. If you just need a cheap SSD and you understand what you're getting and the limitations of a no name drive, then go have fun with this drive.I got it for extra storage for an older laptop that had a free drive bay. At that price I felt "Why not?". This time I came out ahead on the bet. Ask me again in a year!

Decent speeds
I bought this thinking I would use it as an external drive in a case. However found a spot in my PC to plug it into to run a speed test against it. See picture. I think this is a decent drive and has many uses. From my many years in IT, I would always definitely keep a backup of anything valuable.I am not using this as an OS drive so I will not comment on my thoughts on the speed etc. Look at the results and compare online.I would run it as my OS drive if needed but there are probably faster options out there if that is what you are looking for. There is also always a risk with longevity on drives that you will never know until they build themselves a reputation.

Slow Boot
After many brands new and used, these are the slowest drive....perhaps slower than an HDD

SSD's are the way to go. I'll never go back to mechanical drives...
No matter what you may think, SSD's are here to stay. They are the way to go.They are lightweight and very reliable and they can be used either as a replacement internal HD or just as an additional external USB attached storage unit. I've used them in both ways without any problems...I'll never go back to mechanical drives...About the only down size is the cost of high capacity SSD's. Until the costs of SSD's over 2TB come down to a lower level, I'll have to stick with 2TB or a lower size SSD...Something that I hope happens soon...Thanks and take care...Joe...

Item was dead on arrival
Part came in 2 days late, and was dead on arrival. Spent 2 hours trouble shooting, cannot be recognized by multiple PCs.

Works great!
This SSD works really well for me. I installed the drive in an external enclosure to use for backups. The case for the drive is plastic, and I can’t remember if other 2.5” SSD’s I’ve handled were plastic. After the drive was first installed in the enclosure, it was not recognized by Windows. I had to partition and format using msconfig.msc. I set it up as GPT. I ordered the 512GB version, and after formatting as NTFS the capacity is 476GB.Performance is good for a budget drive. I was surprised since I hadn’t heard of this brand before. Drive has performed well, hopefully it will last.

Decent standard SSD drive
This is your standard SSD drive that is capable of speeds up to 600mb/s which will totally depend on the system you have this drive connected to. This is a mid level SSD drive as far as comparison to other SSD drives on the market. The drive easily fit into a external SSD drive enclosure and was very quick to format into NTSC and assign a drive letter to the drive. I use this drive for file storage and backup and it performs excellent for that function. At the price point this is a great alternative to the more expensive drives on the market.

I wonder how long this will last
I have already bought a 512gb version of this and presumed it would be just a smaller capacity . But this one seems to be different . crystaldiskinfo shows 62 invalid blocks , 0 valid spare blocks , 0 max erase count of spec and 0 available reserve space . I don't think I will rely on this for anything critical .
