Excellent for deep watering, especially impt. for new trees and shrubs
I'm a trained Master Gardener and nursery professional. These bubblers are hard to find but worth finding for putting a lot of water onto a specific spot. This allows deep watering and is the type of watering trees and shrubs require for the first couple years after planting. Water in this way and roots will grow at the bottom of the the plant's root ball, which protects them from excessive heat or cold. Also, when you water deeply you can water LESS frequently than those who only get water to penetrate the top few inches of soil. I've used these for years and highly recommend them. And by the way, concentrating water in one spot provides less water for weeds (bonus!) that grow across the surface of your garden's soil.

It works great, but two things...
It works great for watering my vegetable garden and trees. Keeps the hose from flailing around and the jet of water spraying everywhere. Water gently bubbles out and travels around my V garden gently soaking into the ground just as intended. Two things:The female end to screw on to your hose could be a little longer allowing a better grip. It's not solidly attached to the bubbler so it spins around. You can't turn the bubbler to unscrew it from your hose. You must grab the small female end to unscrew from the hose. I unscrew it when not in use when attached directly to the end of a hose because...Aluminum on brass is not a good combination. Expect corrosion of the threads within days. Leave it attached to your hose for a month or two and you will likely never get it off. Get around this by either removing the bubbler from your hose after each use or do as I did and purchase a cheap PLASTIC valve for the end of your hose. Then you can leave your bubbler attached without worrying about corrosion of the threads.Despite having to work around the corrosion deal and my arthritic hands having trouble unscrewing the bubbler when necessary, I'm happy with it's performance and am purchasing a second one so I'll have one dedicated to my vegetable garden and another for dragging around the property watering trees and plants.

Good bubbler - when reinforced
This product replaced a bubbler of same construction I had used for over 20 years. The design is sturdy but what ended its life was too many time the bubbler was knocked on a hard surface, separating the body from the fitting.Easy means to prevent this is to apply a bead of caulk around the fitting where it connects to the base, and add a bit more to the end caps where they join the barrel since both caps were a little loose. To make frequent moving of the bubbler easy, you can fabricate a handle several feet long with a 45 degree elbow at each end so that your bubble acts as a hand held watering wand (as I have used for over 20 years). This keeps you from leaning over each time you want to move from plant to plant.

Efficient
Ioved this ! I water by hand.no sprinkler system ..the house well I have has a big pump ,so water pressure is sometimes too much ..I like the way it slows the flow of water. With my state being in a drought, when I do water I like knowing it goes straight to the root of plants ,and grass..it works perfect for me ..couldn't b happier

Excellent soaker
Have used these for years to water pots, newly planted trees, etc. They last forever and when they do finally give out it’s hard to go back to handheld sprayers. These don’t put out water with much force, but rather diffuse the water gently. Never disappointed by this product. They last a long time, are low maintenance and do a good job soaking. I guess a drawback is unlike multifunction sprayers, these are single purpose.

Just what’s needed to water “by hand”
This is the ideal tool to use when setting out bushes or trees, or plantings in flowerbeds, where daily or frequent watering is required, when sprinklers won’t provide nearly enough. It’s much less wasteful than sprinkling, too. I bought two, and when a lawn-care worker accidentally stepped heavily on one, breaking it, I ordered a replacement.

A good metal/aluminum bubbler
I was a bit concerned at first at the thinness of the aluminum; but I have been using it for a month and it is excellent. Great price compared to trying to find one in a garden or hardware store.

Water changes for aquarium!
This thing is a god send! I use it to fill my aquariums back up without causing the media to get stirred up. Great little tool and the pressure is not restricted at all. Would recommend for anyone out there looking for a cost effective solution.

Handy garden tool!
My friend who is a professional landscaper suggested I get a garden bubbler for the seven new beech trees we planted this summer. (This brand is the one she recommended - great quality.) I was watering the trees using a watering can or with the spray nozzle on my hose, which was quite time consuming and back breaking! Now I attach the bubbler to the end of my garden hose, place it at the roots of the trees and let it do the work instead! A real time saver and gentle water flow for the trees. Old school and it works! I feel like a real gardener now! :)

I have a small vegetable garden plot and I like flooding the area with water rather than watering normally
Exactly what I was looking for. I have a small vegetable garden plot and I like flooding the area with water rather than watering normally. Watering gets done faster, and water soaks deep into the ground to help the roots dig deep to support the plants.Bought a shut-off valve so I can control the flow speed and to stop the water flow and move it around. With the shut off valve it’s easy to control pressure and avoid erosion problems. As the name suggests, it’s medium duty. It is constructed of metal but lighter gauge metal. For general home use, it’s perfect and I expect to get many years of use. You would want to get something more durable for any type of heavier duty or commercial use. Great product for what o need it for.
