Seems to be. It means that the yeast may be added at the optimal time, rather than sitting in the mix and being partially activated. In general terms, I find this to be a superb bread maker which hasn't let me down yet - I attribute that (in part) to the separate yeast dispenser.

Can you make bread rolls with this? Also, how long does it take to make an average loaf?

You can knock up dough to make rolls but, you can’t bake rolls in the actual machine. You’ll need your own oven to do this. Average time to make bread, depending on which style of bread you want, is approx 4 to 5 hours. However, there is a rapid function which cuts it down to about 2 hours and it’s not too bad considering.

What is the differences between this model and the sd-zb2502bxc?

This model has sourdough settings, artisan bread setting and a rustic scones setting. Not sure. It also comes with 2 measuring cups that can be used to make sourdough starters. The 2502 doesn't have the settings I mentioned and it doesn't come with 2 measuring cups. It only comes with one. Apart from the settings I mentioned, they are both the same and bake the bread the same way. 😊
