Excellent pedal
Created a much harder rocky vibe to the guitar, just what we wanted

Marshall in a Stomp Box - But Only if et Right
The negative reviews in here make me laugh. Some people just can't handle the fact that this pedal does indeed do a fantastic job of replacing well-known amps for producing some thick metal. Some Marshall fanboys refuse to accept that technological progress has actually happened over the last 60 years. But do know this about the pedal: It creates its sound by incorporating compression into a distortion pedal as well as a 4-band EQ. That's really what this is under the hood. That being said, this is why you'll hear some hiss to the pedal if you really crank up the crunch - the more you distort and compress, the more it's gonna hiss (like all other pedals do). And if all you're looking for is simple overdrive, this pedal is ridiculous overkill - get an overdrive pedal. This thing is for burning down the house with thick, chunky, distorted METAL CRUNCH, not that wussy overdrive crap.Using a 2016 Tony Iommi signature Limited Edition Epiphone SG (black with "iron cross" fret inlays), here's how I have my MT-2W set to sound like the riffmaster himself:Level: 10 o'clock positionLeft EQ (Inner): Cranked All Way to RightLeft EQ (Outer): 3 O'Clock PositionRight EQ (Inner and outer): Both set to 12 O'Clock (straight up) PositionDist: Between 1 and 2 O'Clock PositionS/C Switch: Set to "S" PositionJust pipe this through any respectable amp (meaning a REAL amp of 100 watts or more), as clean as possible (no amp overdrive). Let this pedal do the work, it does it extremely well.Again, this pedal has built-in compression, which gives it a nice thick crunch, but also introduces some hiss - just like any other compressor will, but can be controlled by adjusting. if need be, add a noise suppressor pedal along with it and then you have all you need and the sky's the limit. And like all BOSS pedals, this thing's built like a tank, so that review in here about crappy construction is a bold-faced lie. There's no such thing as any pedal made by BOSS that is anything less than industrial strength, and is why I've been using these pedals for over 40 years. When we finally get around to nuking ourselves, there will be two things left alive on this planet - cockroaches and BOSS stop boxes.
