I wanted to hang a completely plastic disco ball (aka 1 pound) from my ceiling and this hook came clean off and the ball SHATTERED. I followed the guide to use it and the disco ball hung for ONE DAY. This is useless and a false advertisement. Don’t buy this SCAM

I'm using these to stick to a few doors and then I tie an elastic cord to keep the door from slamming open when the wind blows. They work great! The adhesive seems good, and I don't have to drill into the door.However, I see on their product page, that they advertise these as ceiling hooks. I do not recommend this!! You can see from the photos that the hook is held on by a bolt. So a few turns of that hook, and whatever you have connected will come crashing down!So again, I really like this metal pad and hook. But I would not advise using it on your ceiling (where something could twist and possibly unscrew the hook).
