Q: Can this be used for lightly scrubbing a engineered wood floor to remove a water stain

I can not say with certainty, with out seeing the stain. It could be 3" dia or much larger and how long the water sat on the floor soaking in. I used it with success on my floors cleaning up different stains. It mostly depended on if they were surface stains or really soaked in. What also helped with mine was using Murphy cleaning oil mixed with some water sprinkled on the floor then using the pad while wet. If you use it, try on a remote spot first. Hope that helps

Q: Is this good for tile floor "grout cleaning" ?

All depends on how deep the grout line is. I have every pad and brush and still find the best way to clean my grout is on my knees with a small stainless steel brush and muriatic acid solution. Takes for ever , but the grout looks brand new.
