In fairness this is more Amazon's fault
It's exactly as described and I imagine would work well. Unfortunately, Amazon suggested the wrong size so I'll never find out.

Fits 2007 Scion TC Filters
I purchased several cheaper ones at Wal Mart and O’Reily that slipped. This one fits and does not slip, on the filters I had Fram Ultra off and WIX new on).

Cheap tool
This tool is not expensive. So don't expect a perfect fit. The tool is not deep enough to capture the "teeth" of the filter housing. It fit more like a socket might.It worked for me to remove the filter housing on my 2022 4Runner, but I had not overtightened it when I last replaced the filter.
