Ecolink is a great z-wave product line. Reliable, easy to install, great compatibility with z-wave hubs, and very long battery life. What I like best is it has a long cord between the sensor and logic unit so you can install the sensor where it is needed to detect flooding and install the logic unit in a convent spot for changing the battery.I'm installing this on my A/C condensation pan in the attic so I'll immediately know when the condensation line is clogged, and if the attic is freezing.Highly recommend this product!

Excellent water sensor with long battery life
I've had this installed for over a year and the battery is still over 95%. I test it every few months and it works very reliably. Integration with SmartThings hub was easy and I get an alert whenever it detects water. The long cord from the sensor to the battery & electronics compartment is nice as I don't have to worry about the electronics being disabled or damaged due to water.

Remote sensor Works well with SmartThings
After a disastrous event involving an attic-mounted water heater, it was apparent I'd need an early detection system to act swiftly in the future. The sensor would also need to sit in the pan, which would be an issue with blocked signals. This EcoLink sensor fit the bill nicely. The electronic component can exist where signal is stronger, and the wired sensor reaches to the pan to monitor the situation. As far as SmartThings, inclusion via Z-wave was easy enough (the QR code method didn't recognize it, but search by vendor did). Once added, it reports the following:water status (wet or dry, from the wired sensor)Temperature alert (normal, from the main body)Tamper status (cover removed, from the main body)Battery %One issue was after 9 months of use, the sensor reported "Wet", even though the pan was dry. Attempts to reset sensor status failed, including a new battery. What eventually worked was removing it from the Z-wave network (using the SmartThings web interface, and not the Android app), and re-adding it (via the mobile app). The leak sensor was then responding as it should, as tested in a small amount of water. Note that the response time is within seconds via SmartThings, reporting as a notification in Android as well (you can add additional automations for texting as well)

Great unit for SmartThings (and Home Assistant)
Updating my review. My initial review was that this was pretty bad device. Turns out this was an Amazon fulfillment issue. Even though the product was marked as new and sold by Amazon.com, I received a very clearly used and broken device. Amazon eventually got around to sending me a replacement so just watch out if the seller you select is Amazon.com.This device works flawlessly with my SmartThings hub. It does show up as a contact sensor in the hub. However, I have my hub connected to Home Assistant and do most of my automation via Home Assistant with the SmartThings really just acting as a relay (via MQTT). Via MQTT, I do see the broadcast of wet or dry. The event notification time is very consistant and never more than a second.

Early detection of basement flooding saved me
The sensor I had placed underneath my water filtration system triggered a Home Assistant alert late one rainy night. A crack had developed in my foundation and under heavy rain the water started coming in. This sensor detected the water intrusion early enough that we were able to mitigate any water damage in the finished section of our basement.I have a sensor on my water filtration system, hot water tank, sump pump, and furnace (in case of condensate backup). The batteries last a very long time.

Died in less than 3 weeks
Received and paired with Home Assistant though bit of a pain to pair/unpair without any buttons.. Just had over an inch of rain so checked in HA and saw the device was no longer connected. Retrieved from attic and found it was dead. Removing battery and reinstalling did nothing. No light came on.

Easy to install; works well with Hubitat
These sensors are nice; there's a long cord to connect the sensor itself with the Z-Wave unit, long enough to get both mounted without too much effort. I did find that the tape supplied didn't stick particularly well to many surfaces (no surprise) so it's best to use screws. You can actually mount it to a shelving unit or even a piece of wood that won't float if there's a flood. The setup with the hub is easy; it works better than many Z-Wave devices in fact. Range is good; with one active repeater in the basement the whole area where I installed the leak detectors was covered fine.

Works with Home Assistant perfectly!
I installed this to monitor the water level in a seldom used hot tub. It now alerts me through Home Assistant when the water level drops below the level I want. I also use it when drained during the summer to check for water arriving in the tub from rain (through the cover) (we live in a windy area).

Works great
Works as advertised. Very sensitive and reports dry/wet mode back to hub accurately. The remote sensors and 4 or 5ft long cable is ideal for tight places.
