When I unpacked this it was physically a lot smaller than I thought, although dimensions were listed.The mag base didn't seem to be all that strong but has proved me wrong. Pounding up and down motorways at 70+mph in all weathers has stuck like a limpet. Cable was very small diameter but quite long enough to run from just outside tailgate and thru the car to central position (near gear lever) my car being medium sized hatchback. And with the small diameter was a lot easier to feed thru the different trim etc.Performance is adequate to good. I can't really say because I can't compare it with a similar product, because this is the first mobile scanner aerial I have bought. I use an Icom IC-R20 receiver and this little aerial opens up what is very limited reception just using the sets own telescopic aerial.There are obviously better aerials out there, but for the price, I don't think you can do better than this for a starter aerial.All in all a good little performer for the price.

A compact antenna I use on a desktop scanner. It works well even in my park home which is made of aluminium.
