In order to fully appreciate the gravity of this review, I'm going to need you to set aside your pre-conceived and ill-contrived notions of tape dispensers and expand the horizons of your mind to accept that which may frighten, excite and ultimately please you! We begin this review with sand, also known as "silica" in some realms. The 1InTheOffice Desktop Tape Dispenser (Black) is crafted with cutting edge technological engineering. It starts at the sand. Just the right amount! Not too much to be a burden when moving, and not too light to fall into that awful "flimsy" category. Next, we move onto the blade. Team, if you want sharp, look no further!! This finely tuned, serrated and what I assume is some type of stainless steel composite metal not only delivers clean, reliable cuts on every pull of the tape... it refuses to DULL! I've seen steak knives with less resolve than the blade on this tape dispenser, but fright not - as it is so neatly tucked against the chassis of the cartridge that self inflicted injury is a simple impossibility. Next we move onto the finish, or what I like to refer to as the "BODY". Oh if there was ever such a body as this! The novice tape dispenser user will look for smooth texture and curved edges. But no! This dispenser is rugged, for the everyday man and woman with an almost callused finish and whimsically sharp edges. The dispenser almost laughs at its predecessors and successors design as it maintains its poise and body as a model for all! Finally, we address the bargain, AKA... the "price". Two for $11.99. It's cheap. No really. This is pretty cheap. I got the "two-for" so I could give a needy admin assistant an x-mas present down the road. Yes, I know it's February, this is also a 250 word review on a tape dispenser - thank you corporate life.

Everything works pretty well, but the steel tape cutter is so polished the tape doesn't stick to it very well. It falls off and lands back on the roll or down on the body all the time... Hard for Christmas wrapping when you have to put it back on the cutter all the time.

I got these for my wife. She had one for years and just before Christmas, it stopped cutting the tape. She loved the fact that it was heavy, sturdy, and she could get tape with only one hand. She does crafting and it was indeed beneficial to someone that needs to hold something while needing to tape it. She was thrilled that I got her a set of two. She now ha one for her craft area and one for her office desk. Great product.

Product arrived on time. Looks exactly like pictured. It was packaged well. The individual for whom I ordered this loves it and evidently someone else did, too because I set the second one in the supply room and it was very quickly taken. I would definitely buy this again.

I already own one of these and asked my two married children if they had one. They didn't, so they are each getting one in their 'stockings' for Christmas. When it comes to wrapping gifts it's so much easier to not have to use two hands to tear the tape off the disposal tape dispensers.

I don't see the purpose in spending a bunch of money on something that sits on your desk and dispenses tape. These were very affordable and when we got them found that they are well made and durable too- score!!!

The core size error was the driver behind the rating, it caused me buy a product I could not use given I wanted to use one-inch tape. My broker moved during my card expiration month and I did not have a correctly dated card during the refund period, so I could not refund. The core comes out during use, but I think one could adjust to that. Then I bought a one-inch tape dispenser from Staples that was cheaper and worked better.

Works as intended and product quality is very good!.. Would recommend!
