The Art of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

Woah!
Quick flip through... I guess they heard what previous goji books lack, pictures. There is surely a lot of them. Movie and concept shots and I think they covered literally everything in the movie... with some having more content than needed and other just passing through the subject even if it was more interesting. Pretty good. Best of the monsterverse books so far, imho.Comes with a pretty thick book sleeve. Disappointed to see it discounted this early after buying it full price. 😅

Best Monsterverse Artbook yet
Loved every page. All gorgeous and beautiful art. Got a great deal through Amazon since I pre-ordered it. If you are a fan in even the slightest and general audience, I highly recommend this book.

Nice book, but kinda weak on the Godzilla part of it.
You want to know why Godzilla is always ticked off? It's because he's been in 38 movies and he's relegated to co-star in almost all of them. This book really sends that point home too.Godzilla takes a back seat to all the apes, humans, and tech in this book. Even Mothra barely registers a mention. It would've been nice to see alternate evolved Godzilla designs - that I'm certain were at least sketched up. We get nothing like that. It's a nice book. If the price has you on the fence, just wait a year or two and it'll be in the bargain bin.

Excellent Book on the Making of "GxK: TNE" / The Book's Delivery, not so good.
My copy of "The Making Of Godzilla x Kong arrived on time (June 29th) but not in good shape. The reason is stupid-simple. The was there was no cushioning/packing material whatsoever in "New Material" shipping box. As soon as I removed the shrink wrap I noticed the slipcase was creased in 3 corners and under the upper left creased corner, the binding was dented. I've tried on 3 separate occasions to return the damaged item to Amazon.ca for another copy of the book, but no response came, no instructions, no follow-up email with a return code and the deadline for it, July 31st is rapidly closing in. In the past, I've ordered and received both of Insight Editions "The Art And Soul of Dune" -- Parts One and Two and because they (slipcases and books) were properly packaged, arrived in pristine condition. Needless to say I am frustrated at the lack of service on returning this copy of this book. Somebody in Customer Service, please take note....As to the book itself, it's well laid out, it's quite informative, packed with a plethora of concept art and stills. I just wish it had just a little more explanatory text, but on balance, an excellent volume and one worthy of any MonsterVerse fan who digs into the BTS aspects of film making. Another coup for Insight Editions...
