Let's face it: When you're planning a backcountry camping trip, no one wants to think about rain. But it happens. And the last thing you want is to have all your gear wet if your backpack gets soaked through. I've managed in the past with plastic garbage bags and other hacks, but they're not ideal. You need some good luck along with careful use. So I couldn't pass up this affordable option for the peace of mind that comes with knowing my stuff would be safe. It packs small and light. Ideally, you'll forget you even have it with you. The straps help assure a good fit vertically and horizontally. I haven't had a chance to test this yet in the backcountry, but it stretches enough to cover my large Osprey. Where I have used it - and found it an unexpected delight - is while traveling with a daypack. When you only have a day or two in a city you might never return to, the last thing you want is to be sidelined by bad weather. My wife and I always bring a good rain jacket, but having this also made sure that my backpack didn't get soaked through, no matter how long we were out. The straps were perfect for getting a good fit even at this smaller size. I don't think I'll travel without one again.

First, i want to say that it is a decent product for the money. It is useful as far as the blaze orange for hiking through the woods during hunting season, and the orange with the reflector is very helpful for maintaining visibility when walking on/near roads at night.I wore this in a very light rain/drizzle for about 2 hrs last week. It is more WATER RESISTANT than WATERPROOF. The top of my bag did get wet, but not soaked. Im guessing this is because this area of the cover was the area that came into contact with my pack the most. Kind of like when you touch the inside of a tent, and the result is the water wicks through.I might try treating the cover with Nikwax or something similar to see if it helps. If not, I'll probably just use my normal rain cover and add this whenever I need the blaze orange feature.This is not a complaint, but more for FYI.

Habe Größe S für einen kleinen Rucksack bestellt. Passt sehr gut. Aber wie man sieht, geht er auch über einen doppelt so großen. Die Gurte zum Festmachen sind ideal.

I needed one of these for an old backpack in which the waterproof seal had faded away after some time and I was worried about the contents getting wet. This has done the job perfectly of keeping the bag and all contents underneath dry and the rain off of it. I got the blue to make a nice contrast with my black bag and to match the colour of water. It is of good vaule and works as intended providing extra protection in heavy rainfall for your bags underneath.
