Chosen for Greatness: How Adoption Changes the World Hardcover – Illustrated, October 31, 2016

As a parent of an adopted child, I looked forward to reading this book. I was not disappointed! Not only was the book an excellent read, I could not put it down until I came to the last page. I had no idea how many accomplished and famous people were adopted. This is clearly a book I want to keep for my child once she is old enough to read. Chosen for Greatness is an inspirational book that every reader will enjoy. It is a book I highly recommend for all readers.

Wonderful book, divided into sections easy to read if you only have a short time to devote to it. This is an important look at the way the adoption process has evolved over our history, I loved how it even discussed the Orphan Trains. My great grandfather was one such adoptee, raised by a German woman on her farm in Iowa where he learned Christian values, love for the Lord and an amazing work ethic. He ultimately rose to be the president of a bank in Iowa. He married & raised 4 children to be honorable, hardworking people, including an Anaheim rancher, 2 teachers and a nurse who made an impact on the lives of soldiers in France during the First World War. The stories of the people in this book are examples of the results of hard work and faith, proving no child is without promise. This is a valuable read, time well spent in my opinion!

Interesting read on how God can use anyone to fulfill His purpose. Enjoyed learning the background of adoption in some of these well-known personalities and that there rough start in life did not deter them from accomplishing great things.

Loved this book! My beautiful grand daughter was given to us 16 years ago. I know God chose her very carefully for us. I see myself in her so often. Thank you God. Please bless her in the years to come. And bless the author of this book.Marcia

I recommend this book if you are someone you know is thinking about adopting. It's also a good read to know more about people.

Really encouraging book. Sooo many wonderful people that changed the world were adopted and their adoption played a crucial part in their circumstances.

This book is broken down in a chapter for each individual that was adopted, with their great story. I highly recommend.
