Works great (for normal operation just watch out opening and with kids as there's no second safety switch)!
I read a review form some dumb guy that shocked/burnt himself opening the package, but that didn't dissuade me, so I went and did the same thing! I like that there's no safety mechanism, very convenient for normal use - just be careful opening the package (and think twice on this one if you have curious kids). Works very well, lights-up the candles and more, easy to use/hold, staying charge so far.

Attractive and extremely useful
I was a bit skeptical, but was so frustrated over the years with the cheapo butane lighters that I decided to give this a try. We love it! It works great, no messing with fuel, and it's attractive if it gets left out on the table, etc. Would make a great housewarming gift for someone with a fireplace, which is what we mainly use it for. Will buy another one to use with the non-LED candles soon!

Last lighter I'll probably every need
I've only used this a couple of times but it seems very well made and works perfect for lighting my propane grill. Comes in a nice box too which makes for a great permanent storage location.

The person at Amazon might as well put a brick in with the packaging, which was none existent. Even with bouncing out the box it was held in and then bouncing all over inside the box, it still works. Had to retrieve the USB charger port and move it back into position and then re-stick the battery to the foam padding inside. Seriously, Amazon, you screwed up.Now about the product: What happens when you pull the lever on top back, it removes the insulator from the two tips allowing a blue charge of electricity to jump the gap. It works really well for my Wife's bathroom candles when she takes her indoor jacuzzi and it also had no problem lighting a firelog we last night.I recommend this product.
