Great Performing Reeds!
These D'Addario Organics Select Jazz reeds are great players right out of the box! I ordered the 2M size/strength for the baritone saxophone & the reeds complimented every available mouthpiece & ligature setup I tried them with. (I have been playing saxophone on and off for 60 years with a lot of prior bari sax experience in Rock/R&B/Beach Music bands.)One of the easiest blowing & controllable reeds for baritone sax I have tried. I would say the tone with these lands more on the moderately warmer/darker side. I need to add that I have not been playing as frequently as I would prefer in recent years and the 2M strength reeds were not challenging to me at all; I suspect I might have preferred the 3M or 4M strength instead if my "chops" were in better condition, but this is certainly not meant as a criticism of the product.I have an excellent condition Selmer BA clone horn that has been set up & worked on by K. Beason for a number of years, which I used for the testing. For sampling these reeds I pulled several from the package to use with 4 different mouthpieces: Rico Metalite M7, Otto Link Tone Edge 7, stock mouthpiece & a Guardala metal clone. I used traditional metal, as well as Rovner light and dark ligatures. It was a delight to play these reeds, which produced excellent responsiveness throughout all registers of the Low A bari with every mouthpiece & ligature setup. My only one slight criticism is D'Addario is now using cardboard sleeves for the packing/storage of this line of reeds versus the traditionally provided hard plastic sleeves. I understand that many longer term players will have extra plastic sleeves available from former purchases that can be substituted.Highly recommend these well-made cane reeds.

Great Reeds
My son uses these for his saxophone and loves them. He says they last a long time before needing changes.

Good alternative to Vanduran Blues
My husband who plays alto, tenor, soprano, and baritone sax. Before getting these organic baritone reeds he typically used Vanduran Blues. With these he said he doesn't notice any difference in playability or feel between these D'Addario Organics and the nonorganics. But he estimates that the reed strength is about 0.5 less than Vanduren Blues.

Great feeling/sounding reeds, with none of the pesticides I didn't know I was eating.
I recently had the opportunity to try out the D'Addario Organic Select Jazz Sax Reeds, and I must say they have left a positive impression on me. Both the bari sax reeds in 2m and tenor sax reeds in 3m provided a clean and crisp sound. The reeds were well-trimmed and featured a the logo and reed weight smartly printed on the body of the reed. While the individual packaging was nice, I did notice that it didn't offer the same level of protection as the plastic slip covers that other reeds provide. However, this didn't significantly affect my overall experience with the reeds. As a first-time user of filed reeds, I noticed a noticeable difference compared to the smooth Rico reeds I had used before. The filed reeds provided improved traction when tonging notes, which I found quite appealing.Overall, my experience with the D'Addario Organic Select Jazz Sax Reeds was favorable, and I consider them to be a good value. I would definitely continue using these reeds for their quality and versatility.Note: The mention of the "organic" feature seems more like a playful remark rather than a substantial factor in the review.

Not Good
Back to Rico reeds for me. These just didn't work well. Not responsive. Sigh....
