OMyFansHand Fan for Women Foldable - Folding Chinese Japanese Vintage Bamboo Silk Fan - Ideal for Hot Flashes, Church, EDM, Festivals, Dancing and Gifts (Sakura-Black)

My first impression of this single sided folding OMyFans Hand Fan was that it's smaller than expected, just because I had gone by the main product photo that appeared to be a regular-sized fan. But that wasn't the reason I deducted a Star, since the measurements do clearly state its length is only 8.25". And overall it's a very pretty sleeve & fan, especially in the Sakura-Gray design, which is quite elegant. The bamboo guards & sticks are sturdy and finished smoothly for the most part (though I do usually prefer ones made of fragrant wood, especially as you hold a fan up to your face quite often).The main reason I did deduct a Star was that even though the name & description mention that this is a high-quality silk fan, it really didn't look or feel like real silk to me (or at least not high-quality silk like my other fans). So while the leaf of the fan is well-made & the design lovely, I would prefer if they were more upfront that it & the sleeve are most likely imitation silk (which I'm totally fine with, if it's clearly indicated in the description so I know what I'm getting for a particular price). I always make sure to slip the fan back into its sleeve, but I will admit that the tassel on this fan, though a pretty touch & usually one of my favorite design elements on hand fans, was a tad annoying. The thread used is slippery & the cow hitch knot keeps needing readjustment on the loop (which itself is the main reason it's not so easy to slip this fan back into its sleeve one-handed, tasseled end first.) Overall, though, it's still a very lovely fan & the smaller size does make it convenient to carry in my crossbody bag.

My wife carries this in her purse every where she goes. It is small enough to fit in almost any of her handbags, and is so much better at providing some moving air than whatever postcard or program she can find. It took her a little practice, but she can flip it open with one hand, and once you perfect the wrist movement, it will move a lot of air with very little effort expended. It is also much lighter weight than I expected. A nice item for the price.

The size is correctly listed, but it looked larger than 8 inches in the picture. Went back to read the description closer after I got it, and was very glad to see that is is made for men, women, AND drag queens! :)It IS really beautiful, and it's a pretty decent fan for the price.

I was looking for a good hand fan to use in places where I don't have access to AC. This fan is so lovely! It opens up easily and it does not take much effort to get a breeze on my face. It's quite sturdy, it opens and closes smoothly without me thinking it is going to tear. And I love the design/pattern on it. It has been a nice addition to my summer arsenal against the heat.

My daughter has been wanting one of these fans for a while and when I saw this design I knew it was the one. Most of these fans are beautiful floral patterns, so this one really stood out with it's black and white design with a big red sun in the middle. When I gave it to her she was so excited and said it was the best one she'd ever seen.It comes in a beautiful floral bag with a black background. I think this is a really wonderful bonus, so when it's not out it has something to keep it safe. It folds out and back up easily and perfectly. It has a black tassel that hangs from it that adds even more beauty to it, and goes really well with it. We are very happy with this fan and the quality of it.

you might be wondering why i called out smooth in the headline .. or you might now. but if you've ever held a fan made of the bamboo that was not smooth - you know why. the woods on this super smooth - so splintering at all. this is important. if you know, you know. the fan is a nice size to toss into mid-size purses or backpacks/briefcases. i don't travel without fans now - and i take one to most sporting events. i am pretty sure i have saved lives with something as simple as a fan. sometimes i am even really nice and let people borrow them - i take it back though, fans are like gold. i love this one - it's so beautiful it says silk . that's a maybe. it is silky but seems a little more sturdy than silk as it gives good wind. i like that it has a little carrying sleeve as well - helps to keep it in really nice conditon. it's the worst to open one up and find out it has been ruined bouncing around your bag. but mostly - it's so pretty.

It’s very pretty and it also has a blue tassel which is a nice touch. The fan is 8.75” long when folded up. Even though it is very light weight, it creates a decent breeze. Some fabric/silk fans have fabric that is too airy, and they do not create much of a breeze. This fan does create a good breeze. It opens and closes smoothly. I can flick it open or snap it closed in a satisfying manner.It comes with a silky fabric sleeve in a similar color (different pattern) to the fan. This makes it perfect for putting in my purse to have on hand when it’s hot or sunny out. A fan can also be used as a small sunshade, while sitting in a car for example. I’ve always liked having a pretty fan as an accessory, and this one is just right.
