Always reliable!
Staedtler Pigment Liner Pens are excellent pens and exactly what I expect from a company known for quality art supplies. The ink flow is smooth and consistent, the lines are clean, and they feel very dependable for both sketching and more finished work. What I really appreciate is how controlled they are. They are perfect for fine details, outlines, cross-hatching, studies, technical drawing, and adding crisp accents to mixed-media pieces. The pigment ink gives a strong, professional look without feeling messy or unpredictable. These pens are also very comfortable to use and make it easy to build up texture and value with confident marks. Whether I’m doing loose sketches, finished illustrations, or adding line work over graphite or charcoal-inspired pieces, they perform beautifully. Staedtler continues to prove why they are such a trusted name. These pigment liners are reliable, high-quality, and a must-have for any artist’s pen collection. Highly recommended.

Quality pens that provide great results
Great ink flow. Drying time is very fast. The fine point s let you express details with no bleeding. The appearance is great and after drying is smudge resistant.

great pro pens for drawing
OK. I’m a professional illustrator and these are great quality professional pigment pens. Good solid black and lots of line widths to pull just what I need. Cheaper as a set on Amazon than buying individually at the art store. A lot of comic artists use them. I draw and moments later they’re dry and I can erase without blurring lines. I don’t draw “heavy” so in my use the tips hold up.

Excellent find!
I like the multi-size pens. Long lasting and feels good to hold. I would definitely recommend the Staedtler brand.

They hold up, don’t smear or run , Fabulous!
I absolutely love these pens! I use them for art projects and daily writing. I am an artist, art teacher and very picky about writing implements. They hold up very well when used in multimedia projects and believe me I abuse them mercilessly. They don’t smear or run.

Great, but I Prefer Sakura Pigment Liners
These are fantastic pens. They last a long time and I think the tips actually are sturdier than the Sakuras. But they bleed more than Sakuras do and when you're doing fine work, that's the most important feature, even more the pen tip's durability. Those who can handle a little bleed and want a pigment liner that lasts might love these, but I don't use the .01s and .03s in this brand anymore. Too hard to stay in the lines.

Never using other fineliners again !!!!
Shipped safely and all pens were perfect. I had no dried out ones thankfully which tends to happen a lot when I order on Amazon. I’m a multimedia illustrator, with most of my work being manga and anime related so fineliner pens are obviously a must have. I can’t recommend these pens enough. I used to use microns but I will seriously never go back. The quality of the nib, the ink flow and pigment, and the size range are worlds above most fineliner pens I’ve tried. Not to mention how much more affordable these are. I have accidentally left one open for a day or two and I can say for sure these do not dry out when left open. It worked the same as when I got it.

My favorite liners
I love Staedtler liners and prefer them to the more hobbyist-standard Micron pens or the more scratchy and difficult to control tech-style pens. The ink takes a moment to dry so be careful not to smudge, though I find these smudge less than other pens. The larger sizes do put out a higher volume of ink and therefore take longer to dry. I like to use these with alcohol-based markers for a tidy, graphic look, but they also work quite well with watercolor. I'd advise against trying to use them *over* colored pencil or wax pastels or crayons as the wax in these tools can make it difficult for the ink to stick and it ends up smearing or just not coming out properly. The wax can also clog the tips, so just generally I do not recommend that combination. They don't work super well for going *under* wax tools, either, as the wax-based color tends to obscure the lines. It depends on what look you want though. They are, however, especially with the varied sizes in this pack, great for ink work on its own, provided you take care not to rub your hand over the area you just drew on immediately afterward, and give them a few minutes before running an eraser over them (erasers tend to smear long after your hand does not) if you have a pencil sketch underneath. You can achieve interesting effects by smearing larger areas of ink with your finger intentionally, though your fingers will get quite dirty... one of the only downsides of these, that they tend to leave you with a lot of black on your hands even if you don't smear them at all. The danger of any art is, of course, getting dirty.. or maybe it's a benefit. These are my favorite pens to ink with, and I've never had any package arrive with the pens dried out (unlike other pen brands I could name). You can get them in any decent art store but they are, of course, much cheaper on Amazon, and if you have Prime can be obtained nearly as quickly as a drive to your local Michael's. I will always recommend these to any artist regardless of their level of experience.

My absolute favourite pens for pen and ink drawing!
I loveeee these pens. I have recently gotten into art and sketching and I bought these and I love them. I love that there are so many different sizes I have mainly been using the two smallest ones for my ink drawings which is the 0.05 and the 0.2 and I’m so proud of myself! I think the drawings have turned out great. They are long lasting too I’ve made a million little sketches since buying these. I’ve had them for about 6 months now and all of them still work and none of them seem like they are drying out at all! I included a picture of a car I made and one of my sketches that I scanned!

Pretty good but dry out quickly
These are pretty good. I used to em for zentangle and doodles. The only complaint would be they don’t last long. I found they went dry before most another pens I have tried. But I like the different sizes in one pack.
