Heavy duty for sure!
Purchased to apply snaps on sewing projects. Probably a little more than I needed, but it works spectacularly well!!

Is What It Is…
This is a pretty straight forward tool. A ‘vise-grip’ with snap anvils welded on. A great idea for small, on-site usage. I don’t use it for my heavy leather jobs, but for tarps and fabrics, yeah. It’s harder on my hands to do all the squeezing necessary with this tool. I’m use to the mallet and anvil method, especially for my leather work.Still, a decent tool and worthy of consideration. It’s all about the correct tool for the job.

Dont waste your money if you are doing large snaps
pliers bent while installing first replacement snap on a golf cart cover.this is nothing more than a cheap pair of vice grips with some attachements welded to it.if you have one or 2, take a chance. doing an entire boat/golf cart cover? spend for a better stronger unit.

Does the job
These are the highest end tool for this, but if you don't plan to use it every (or a similar high frequency) these are just fine for a good price. I wish they came with more than one snap, mostly just to have some extras when first learning to use it. But snaps are cheap so not a dealbreaker.

Ergonomic Cushioning For My Hands
I already had one of these tools, but it's all metal. The arthritis and pain in my hands and wrists have worsened over the last year or so and it hurt too bad to use it even once, even while wearing my compression gloves. While a snap fastener is not a tool I use everyday, when I need to use it, I need to be able to use it. This one is heavy duty, works easily and well, and doesn't hurt my hands. I gave the old one to a friend.
