Good for anyone studying counselling or psychotherapy
I dont have time to waste so i like my viewing "to the point" which this is. You follow the clients of the psychotherapist week by week (good variety of issues) then you watch the psychotherapist receiving fire/supervision from a woman who doesnt miss a trick. Too adult to watch when children or young people are around (adult themes). Parent do need to learn what theyre not being told so its good for parents of older teens to watch. Will be keeping these to watch over and over again.

Did not like the 2 week presentation on the DVD
Really engrossing, but by season three I thought the therapist's unravelling was unrealistic. Also what we were seeing was psycho-therapy not psycho-analysis. Did not like the 2 week presentation on the DVD. Overall the acting was superb and realistic. However if I was not a believer in therapy, this would have not helped me to consider therapy!

If you missed the series, essential viewing...
As a coach/therapist I find this series compelling. I think even if you have no professional interest in therapy, you will find these make fascinating viewing.Gabriel Bryne makes the perfect, but personally flawed, therapist (yes we do have our own faults - we just keep them well hidden).

Brilliant series, very very entertaining and pretty sexy in places. Wife is a Psychologist and really enjoys it even though she really doesn't agree with some of the methods used in the episodes. Great performances by these actors and Gabriel of course.

Full of surprises in the analytical therapy room.
I just loved watching every minute of it. This series portrays the work done in analytical therapy, but it also shows a very human analyst with all of his human failings.. Excellent!

If you are into psychotherapy
This is about counselling/ psychotherapy sessions, but it really grips you like a soap as you follow the sessions of 4 individual clients plus the psycho therapist himself. Based on a real experiences of a psychotherapist it is fascinating.
