It does work, but it's poorly made and very difficult to assemble and harder to clean. Made the mistake of putting the "metal" pieces in the dishwasher only to have them turn black, and the black comes off on my hands, so I haven't used it since.

I should have listened to the reviews. This machine clogged up within 5 minutes and had to be taken apart and cleaned out. I used skinned tomatoes and unskinned cooked down tomatoes. After the 3rd time I took it apart and used my old standby by hand mill. I will try apples or grapes but at this point it is not worth the money paid for it.

Really saves all the cranking and works well, no seeds in my sauce and gets all the juice the first time through. However it does leak between the hopper plate and the head and some liquid did leak back into the motor compartment, but I just stood it on one end and let it drain completely after cleaning. Some of this might be avoided if you don't roast the tomatoes first as I do as it makes them really juicy. It was easy to clean.

I was very displeased with this juicer. I had to take it apart every 2-3 quarts and clean it out cause it kept clogging up on me. I’ve used several manual ones over the years and never had anything like this happen to me. Not to mention I couldn’t run the pulp through I normally do causing me to lose juice.

There was a little to no instructions that came with this although it weighs quite a bit it seems very flimsy it advertise that it would cut tomatoes, but all it does is purée tomatoes it gives the impression that it will chunk tomatoes for salsa. It does not.

First of all, you should NEVER use anything aluminum for tomatoes! This product needs gaskets at every connection point. Leaks something awful! After the first use there was an oil like substance leaking out under the unit. It is also impossible to clean the area where everything connects to the motor. Food products get deep inside and can not be removed. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

It stopped up to often. It said you could do 100lbs of tomatoes an hour.

Didn’t have to hand crank but it leaked and clogged up fast. Not worth paying the price to me.
