Kuksa Laplander Cup

The Laplander Kuksa Cup is very simply made with a lovely rounded outer and inner body, it has a thoughtfully designed handle (unlike a lot of cups/mugs!). It is also wider than it is high, which gives it a good low centre of gravity - it won't fall over or over-ballance on rough ground. My 3 rating is for two reasons.1: the cup does have a 'taste', it is not unpleasant, but nonetheless there, and does come through when drinking. This may of course diminish over time, however, I have another (different) wooden cup that I've owned for 12 years and the taste of the wood is still very present in it.2: this is just a personal thing, but I wish the cup was larger, it holds half a 'standard' (not large) mug - which means that it probably holds just less than 1/4 of a pint. The size is fine for Esspresso Coffee or spirits, but not really large enough for drinks where you want more than a few sips - a nice mug of tea for example! I am glad that I bought it, although the price is a bit high- it isn't my much sought-after 'perfect wooden mug'!

This was a gift to my brother for his 40th... he loved ithe wants another one!!Really lovely wood and a nice natural finish (not highly polished)
