It did what two plumbers and a few other attachments couldn't.
I used this with the underpowered, temperamental harbor freight drain monster that turns the wrong direction. The mission was to get through severe root infiltration in about 40 feet out in the 4 inch lateral sewer line. First I attached it as designed, essentially running the saw blade backward. It didn't get the job done. I did the following mods: drilled a new attachment hole to attach this to the snake upside down, so the blades would cut the proper direction (involved drilling through the outside to then drill a new hole on inside). Then this left a straight leading edge on top, so I took a disk cutter blade on my drill and cut some teeth into that flat surface. With that prep done, I was able to clear 50 feet of sewer line including probably five feet of severe root infiltration, in about an hour. Even with me cutting on it, this tool will last another hundred years if I don't let it rust.

Great product.
Cuts and works as intended. I'm surprised how expensive these attachments are.

Use with caution: this is a real grown up's tool.
Things you stick down a septic pipe are not something i will ever love, even this thing. Though i have to say that when all else failed, this thing cleared the line. Obviously, it isn't streamlined and easy to get down a pipe, and then remove it. We got it hung up on trying to back it out, but with some persistence, we managed to bring it to the surface. And it did exactly what we wanted it to do. It cleared the clog. Other smaller bits punched a hole through a clog and allowed flow for a while, but this removed most if not all the clog. If your fear your drain clearing machine, use this thing with caution. It requires a determined and somewhat experienced touch. It can be done and this may just be the tool you need to do your drain cleaning. All that said, i will say that i like it and recommend it for larger diameter pipes, when used with intelligence and a somewhat experienced hand.

Well worth it
Have a chamber system. Clean out roots big time. Save me a lot of money. Do not buy a self feeding machine. You have to feel it going in or you will brake machine. Have patience slow and easy. I do not wear rubber gloves. Only wear canvas gloves.Rubber gloves seem to get caught up in the machine and you will break your wrist

It works ok but is designed for a right handed (clockwise) rotation.
It works ok but is designed for a right handed (clockwise) rotation. As it turns out, my auger from harbor freight rotates to the left. Even with the rotation backwards, it still works mostly. It is heavy duty and your not going to break it easily. The teeth are very sharp when new.

Heavy dirty is a plus, should be sharpen more, maybe
This was the perfect cable tip to remove roots from 4" drain. Needed to grind a little bit to fit it in my cable but over all this is the best cutter I have found.
