Q: It says you can import hd video.. how do you do that??

Import is probably not the best choice of word this is simply a resolution down converter. You plug this into the back of an HDMI output (eg. DVD player, Roku Player, Fire TY Player) then you plug it into a TV or VCR that only has RCA (Red / White sound Yellow for Video).

Bought it to use my Iphone 6s in my 2006 cadillac. It would not work. Sending it back.

This item is meant more for home-based AV use. Auto units are made differently, therefore a different item would be of better use. Hope this helps.

No, you need a Rca to hdmi converter, the first one is the in & second is the out. The one I named should work.
