Excellent for breaking hard water deposits (calcium carbonate) loose fro faucets, shower heads my water distillers, faucet heads, porcelain tub or tile shower, metc. mix sm amt w/ water and let it St it for a few hours and it does a great job without having to scratch or damage appliances. Only "soft enough" Acid recommended for my water distiller (food grade). I throw a tablespoon in with a dishwasher load every month for a scum- free dishwasher w/o ANY hard water scale build up. Keeps it like new. Excellent yet gentle and safer then Hydrocholic Acid. Many household uses inside and outside (window scale). Also avail in grout and mortar section of home improvement stores in 1# jars. Save a LOT of time and energy trying to descale by hand. Try some and you'll be pleasantly thrilled with the results. Wish I had found it 40 yrs ago.
