Modernist Icons: Midcentury Houses and Interiors

Love it for the book cover, and the photos are phenomenal

A very good representation of my favorite residential architecture style !

This is not a 50.00+ dollar book. Yes it has many pages. Yes it has many pictures. The literal pages are excessively thick and difficult to turn. The pages have a strong odor and feeling of a powdery film on them. I feel like I need to wear latex gloves to get a grip on them and to keep the powdery film off my hands. The book itself smells badly. The cover and the pages are matte; not glossy which makes it low quality and unimpressive for a coffee table book. And MOST IMPORTANT the pictures are of poor quality. I know someone wrote about the great pictures and so I bought it but most of the pictures are historical and poorly transferred to these pages. Often the photos are originally of low quality and then poorly transferred. There is history in this book certainly but not a lot of beauty or it is hard to find in between the low quality photos. I will keep the book for it's historical perspective but it does not inspire.

Nice big pictures but the writing is very generic and bland. The layout and typesetting are incredibly amateur and not at all fitting of a book focused on design

Grab your comfy chair, sit down and read

Das Buch bietet interessierten eine gute Bandbreite an Ikonen aus der Architektur… wie Abbildungen des Hauses der Familie Eames. Der Preis ist top. Einziger Hinweis, die Verarbeitung ist keine Hochglanz Verarbeitung, die Papierstruktur ist eher einfach gehalten.

Ein Stern Abzug, da Buch leider beschädigt (Ecke eingedrückt) geliefert wurde.
