These keep my kids from escaping our basement. They work as intended and they haven’t figured out how to wiggle them out of the windowsill yet. They were easy to install.

These are working nicely; installation was a few seconds.

I have your average American home sized windows & doors. These had to have been made originally for porthole sized windows! Will be returning as they do not extend long enough to function.

I bought these for a little more safety and Security around my windows. They seem to be very well made and seem to be very sturdy but only time will tell.

These are not "security bars" at all they are light duty hanger rods at best. I wanted to maintain pressure on a window to ensure weather sealing and these were unable to maintain enough pressure for that simple application. Even a child would not have much trouble pushing hard enough for these rods to simply wind back into a smaller size. I would not buy these if you have any desire to secure any window or door.
