Gb-gardner Bender Full Function Battery Meter
I got fed-up with the cheapo battery testers which read inconsistently and vary from tester to tester but couldn't justify buying the ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester (£44 plus an extortionate £21 delivery) despite the rave reviews!The Gb-gardner Bender seems well made and gives consistent readings. A little care is required when interpreting the reading, but that seems to be par for the course.Choose your supplier carefully - I paid £12.45 with FREE deliver (surprising, since it came from the USA) but it's also on Amazon at total costs of £31 & £34.

I've had one of these battery checkers for years, same one sold under a different name. The leads finally got sloppy on the other one, hence the reason for getting another. Great little battery checker, If you need one, this one's inexpensive, easy to use and well built.

Works well as advertised
What I like best about this device is that it can handle everything including AAA, AA, C, D, N, button cell, CR123 (3V Lithium), 6V, 9V, 12V, 15V and even 22.5V batteries yet doesn’t require any batteries to power itself like a multimeter does. As such, I don’t have to worry about any battery leakage after long-term storage between uses. And the two permanently attached test leads also come in handy, as does the built-in retractable stand on its back.
